It'll be interesting to see how well the next gta game does on release and for what price it's sold. I'm sure it'll be stupidly expensive, but break records with how much it makes within the first week. And this time the online function is going to be even bigger and better with even more money for them to make.

It's likely to be at least £80, if not £100. As you say, it will still sell like crazy.

I’d be happy to pay that, given how good we know it’s going to be. The ridiculous thing is that it should be the same price as some of the rubbish from the big studios masquerading as triple A that has been released over the last few years.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind paying £80+ if it's as good as expected. I'd like to see more price variability with games. Expedition 33 being £40-45 is a great price. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart being £60-70 is not!
 
My xbox game pass is up in 1 day, having had the 3 year deal prior, and the 3 year prior to that, costing me something like £70 for each of those stints.

What is the way to go now for game pass? Do they still do the "buy 3 years of gold and then upgrade to game pass unlimate for £1" sort of deals?

Glad you enjoyed it! I bought it super cheap in the sale a couple of weeks back, in hindsight now looks sort of obvious it was going to land on GP. I played an hour or two and after the initial awesome movie vibes and sounds I found it a bit tedious.

I think this game and some like it have to go in expecting movie vibes but also maybe a b movie version of gaming, they know what they are, silly basic but have fun with it.
 
Cancelled my game pass for the first time in 6 years. Bought the game I regularly play on their for £10 with a cdkey.

Stupid thing is I forgot you have to pay for xbox live, so that was a right bummer to find out.

I don't mind the cost of live, but one day I planned to get game pass again when there's a few new games in the list that I want to play.

I assume I can't upgrade xbox live to gmae pass any more, so if I have 1 year of xbox live, what do I do when I want game pass too?

I know it's not called xbox live any more but it's far easier to call it that to avoid confusion

Game Pass Core replaced Xbox live, which is cheaper than Ultimate ... but still blows to have to pay anything for online play ( compared to nothing on PC ).

Yeah I know. It's game pass core that I now have to get, cheaper sure, but what happens when I buy of game pass core for a year ahead, and now I want game pass ultimate for 2 months or whatever length

It will convert the core to GP Ultimate for a longer period of time - I think 12 months of core = 3 months of ultimate.. you'll essentially get ultimate for a longer period than you wanted and you'll have to resub to core once GP Ultimate has expired.

That really sucks.

6 years I have had game pass, I forget how much but I'm sure it was something like £45 per year I paid. Maybe even less now it's what £180 per year?
