After seeing Superman a week ago I think this probably craps on it for production and style. That's gonna be a James Gunn personal taste thing.

Wow you must have watched one of the first showings. So as a superhero it's better more enjoyable than Superman?

Superman is just james gunns humour
This feels more like a family drama lol. So maybe not a good superhero film but i found it better. Thats just me.

I'm just surprised at my mate saying it was the best Marvel movie ever.

It's just got such a good vibe and the family bit is well done really not too much humour either mostly Johnny and Ben quips etc.

Most surprisingly its the most un-Pedro role I've ever seen him in. Definitely a good casting choice.

Very F4 comic accurate.

Nice tone, well structured story and script, great effects, good acting.

However, I thought it was a bit slow overall though but when there was action it was good.

Very different to Superman in tone and pacing.

It's really not close to Infinity War and the better Phase 1-3 MCU films but it's significantly better than most of the recent MCU offerings.

I saw Superman twice and enjoyed it more the 2nd time as could take it all in.

I'm planning to see this again too as think it warrants it.

Just out of the cinema and I agree. Head and shoulders better than any Phase 5 movie. Best FF movie ever made. Great performances from the cast and I felt it was a more complete story compared to Superman. Thoroughly enjoyed it. That's more like it!

Very good, not rushed and not overdone with jokes ruining more emotional moments like with superman. What little action there is, it was excellent. The actors done a great job and very enjoyable to watch. Surfer needed more fleshing out though, but time constraints and all that, maybe in a directors cut.

Just watched it now, so can unignore this thread after about a week!

8/10 maybe 8.5 on second viewing. I reckon it's slightly better than Superman. I liked the story, loved Finchy (clearly recognisable!), not too many jokes and one liners. Pedro Pascal was really good and I liked the way the exposition was handled quickly, so it wasn't just another F4 origin story (Similar to Superman in that way). Visually quite unique compared to the other Marvel films due to the setting. Score, soundtrack and audio/explosions in general were pretty amazing.

Mid credits scene is definitely worth it and will tie into the next films, don't bother waiting for the after credits one.

I'm gonna say I'd like to rewatch this, partly to use my cinema pass, but I said that about Superman and never got round to it!

From Phase 4 and 5, only Spider-Man: No Way Home beats this and GOTG: Vol 3 comes in slightly behind F4, in my opinion.

Watched it only because didn't want to come across spoilers leading to other movies. Was better than Thunderbolts. I'll give it 6.5/10. Might post thoughts about it later.
