What PC games are you playing?

Didn't the old elder Scrolls daggerfall have a crazy big map as well? Like if you decided to walk from one village to the next it could take 3 hours
Yes, a tremendously large game world. I believe it was procedurally generated, whereas, Morrowind, was 'handcrafted' but is much smaller in scale.

Personally don't really count what Daggerfall did as a big map - it is just repeated procedural generation of variations of the same scenery over and over until you come to a point of interest - even though it uses a seed so it will always generate the same layout for the same part of the map. It isn't like having real content between areas.

Quake II: Call of the Machine.

I'd forgotten that a whole new game was available for free with the update. Rather good so far.
:)

I've kind of ruined Quake 2 for myself - with my modded monster "AI", even though it is pretty rough and not real AI, the game feels so much more alive, going back to vanilla monster behaviour, even with the slightly better path finding in the remaster, just feels so boring :s

Started Death Stranding DC as a refresher for the sequel, had played it when it originally came out and enjoyed it but lasted 14 hours this time before giving up. Just not enjoyable the 2nd time around.

Started Death Stranding DC as a refresher for the sequel, had played it when it originally released and wanted to put myself through the same mind numbing dullness before building up to sequel for more self inflicted pain, because I hate myself.

FTFY ;):P

I'm kidding, each to their own :) I still think it was some kind of weird social experiment to push gamers to see what they're whiling to tolerate in order to see a beautiful world/great hollywood casting, sprinkled into a dull empty walking sim.

Just loaded up FF7 Rebirth after not playing it for 4 months. I've completely forgotten how to navigate the IG menus, options, load outs, stats etc. Im treating the first session as a tutorial.

Currently playing:

Dredge: Nearing the end of this. I've really enjoyed it.

The Alters: On Act 2, it's been good so far but suspect it might become a bit samey.

PGA 2K25: Definitely better than the last one, good gameplay, let down by the monetisation trying to get you to spend more money on VC packs.
