Robocop Rogue City

Disappointing they didn't fix any of the performance issues. I enjoyed the main game despite the issues. This looks like a Steam sale buy for me later on.

It's a UE5 thing as much as the developers to be fair. Some handle things better than others, but generally speaking if you have X issue in one UE5 game you'll have it in others.

I've played about 2 hours of it so far in fits and starts, it'll run smooth for a bit then a specific area will turn into stutter hell. It's a good experience gameplay wise and the story is enjoyable albeit basic, more or less an on rails shooter but Robocop themed where you get the "skills" from the first game unlocked to a degree from the start. I'm not the biggest fan of FPS games and they rarely grab my attention, I don't regret spending sub £20 on this at all, it's a fun but flawed expansion of the first game with more focus. I would say waiting a little for patches is a good idea, it updated today for me so they are working on things and the dev's have a history of it with their releases.

been noticeing a bit more stutter but not longer than a few seconds the more i play it, and seen some bugs like a npc blocking a door way that i had to talk to and the bint wouldnt get a press e to talk box up lol one reload later and i could talk to her.

enjoying it though :)

It's a good time and you can tell the dev's legitimately love the source material, I'm more forgiving due to that coupled with the fact they don't have the biggest budgets to work with.

I've seen a few people complain about the movement/tank type walking, but honestly it's a big selling point for me. He was never shown as agile in the way something like The Terminator was, where it was more of a choice to not move quickly rather than an inability to do so.

One of the things that sticks in my memory was a scene from the TV show where he tethered himself to the ground and intentionally got hit by a speeding van full on, the show wasn't exactly the best for obvious reasons but I loved the depiction of him being heavy duty armoured machinery.

had a circuit board that increased the gore earlier felt like the first movie :P

Some of the upgrades to that gun are insane, it literally becomes godly to the point you're wasting your time picking up other weapons.

That said, Rogue City actually starts you off with three boards without telling you. Use that information as you will. :p

They even acknowledge the fact by giving you a sniper rifle early on, it's pretty much the only time I ever used another weapon and only because it was necessary.

Anything with "auto reload" (infine ammo) is great

I think I had board 7.2 or 7.3 towards the end and it was basically 120% damage and armour piercing across the board with explosive rounds

The third starting board gives you that with Rogue City funnily enough and it's why I mentioned it.

It can become utterly nuts if you're a little lucky/get the right things.

Unfinished Business dlc is it worth it ?
In my view, no. I posted fuller thoughts in the "Games you've just completed" thread, but I was disappointed by it, despite liking Rogue City.

It's short, bland, makes poor use of its setting, lacks a memorable story and is riddled with UE5 stutter.

Agreed

Maybe play it if it ever comes to Gamepass, play it for free.

@IanAG It's not DLC by the way, you don't need to own Rogue City to play it.
