Yes, Gigabyte offers 4 years warranty,
but after 4 years, when the pump stops working, the card might have to be thrown in the trash. That’s what bothers me.

Non question for you then? Get air cooled, straightforward install and bargains out there now.
Watercooling AIO is for less noise and more performance potentially, pushing the heat directly outside the case, without the hassle of full loop. Anything goes wrong with the pump after 4 years then I'd replace it or put a waterblock on it...

That pump is probably not repairable on the AIO GPU, right?

Don't really care tbh, everything is repairable if u want. If its out of warranty and I still have it in 4 years, cough, I ll put a waterblock on it...
But will a waterblock still be available in a few years? Have you tried FurMark?
If you have time to run this test, what temperatures do you get after 10 minutes in 4K?

Of course WB will be available. Fur mark not relevant to me. Overclocked to steady 3050hz in Doom Eternal, ultra settings and path tracing, about 220- 260 fps 4k, no point in oc more for 240 hz monitor, sits under 55 core 74 memory on average, for hours, which is fine.
But a 5090 on Air will also be cool enough and less stress re the future I would say.

This is what puts me off AIO GPUs (along with the potential resale challenges), not to mention, having some fan noise can be an advantage to drown out coil whine on the 5090s :D
Haha, no coil whine when gaming after initial mental fps loading, and the quietest I've heard...
Sold my 4090 AIO for more than I bought it. I know, go figure?
I don't buy anything worrying about resale value, FE best for that. I buy products I think I will enjoy. Astral LC was still my favourite, high quality build to match performance, but I couldn't stand the 'grinding' pump noise, unfortunately.

Good to hear! (or not hear in your case:p) I can certainly see the appeal of a high-end AIO GPU. Maybe one day i will be brave and bite the bullet.

Leaving aside coil whine, the FE has a lot of fan noise. Beyond that, it seems a bit of a crapshoot. I've seen no evidence that there is such a thing as a "good brand" for coil whine.
I disagree. The default FE fan curve is very conservative. The card would rather temps increased instead of the fans ramping up. I thought it would be a lot louder than it is based on the figures from techpowerup. Coil whine is another matter. It's a mess all round on the 5090s.

How does it compare to the 4090FE?

I’m close to buying the 5090FE but if reports are it’s a lot worse I may go for something different.

The 4090 I had was on the limit of what I can tolerate.
