Lower Decks was a cartoon, but it wasn't a kids show. Give it a try, more faithful to ST than some of the crap recently churned out

Enterprise was decent....after 2 seasons
Discovery was a total mixed bag and got progressively worse
Star Trek Picard was great..after 2 seasons

I am pretty much on the same opinion, my only exception was discovery. It started well but the last season or so was pretty bad. I normally dont mind the sprinkle of diversity or other topics but if it becomes overbearing it can really feel debilitating to the story telling. The writing and plot points was just absurd even for ST. But ofc that just imo.

How can anyone like TNG and Picard at the same time in the same property. They are the complete opposites.
Having skimmed the trailer, it seems very much in the Discovery mould which i got through 3 episodes of before i couldnt stand to watch it anymore

New trek has been pretty terrible. New Worlds season one was the exception.

Not really liked any modern ST stuff tbh. Happy to just wait for the next movie and skip these TV shows. I think I gave up on discovery after 2-3 seasons and never bothered starting the other 2 shows (the animated one and the one with Anson Mount). I watched Picard for nostalgia reasons but only S3 was any good if I'm honest

Thats what I took from the trailer too, lots of young adult angst and drama...talking of young adults, is that a female jemhadar at 1:22 ? I thought there were only male jemhadars, arent they created in labs or something, I didnt think they could even reproduce? Or am I mistaking them for another race?
Looks like one, but this is set like 800 or so years after ds9, so they could well have went through changes in that space of time and became a race. If it is a Jem-hadar you'd at least expect there to be an explanation, especially a female one.
I'd imagine there would have to be an explanation, the Federation doesnt tend to be very Pro-genetically engineered people in Starfleet
Agree, whilst it was still cringy in a lot of places S3 overall was such a departure from the 1st and 2nd seasons. It felt like TNG to an extent.
