Are they playing against bots?!?

Clipboard-07-31-2025-01.jpg

I thought that at first but then I same some of Jackfrags games and he was playing under one of the BF6-Gameplay-Rev names.

Overall I'm hopeful for the game now but wish weapons were class locked as standard and not open with "class signature" weapon bs. Apparently there's an option to class lock weapons but unsure if thats just during testing or if it will be a "feature" in the final release. If it does stay as an option then they best give us a server browser so we can filter and hopefully it's not just an option in portal.

It'll be even more entertaining once they're playing it at home on stream and suddenly been amazing at the game with amazing aim. They're all the same play like absolute clowns at these events because they don't have their "Tools"
I did wonder why all those supposed great players seemed to be rubbish. I'm pretty average and was feeling quite good about my skills watching them

To be fair if you are using a random setup at an event, etc. it is likely the mouse isn't even remotely close to matching up with your muscle memory and/or keyboard and mouse players having to use controllers that they are probably far less accustomed to etc.

That said I don't discount what is being inferred above either.

Assume it will show in our EA account library when they allow us to download it, Which is daft imo they should be allowing people to download it NOW ready for when we can play it otherwise if its 24/48 hours before there's going to be so much traffic bogging down the servers along with people ddos also because they're low lives.
You can preload on the 4th.

Watched the stream last night. Looks good but, my god, that movement speed is ridiculous. Looked like it's been speed up. Battlefield Bennie Hill?

For those that are using Twitch for the first time, this is where you will see your early access key after you've watched an eligible stream for the required amount of time. Click this icon and the key will be shown in the popup...

Then click on that notification and it will take you to the EA site where you will have to login to redeem the code.

Yeah, enjoyed the footage that I've seen. The 3 'trailers' are also really great, understanding how they've approach classes/maps etc. is nice to know ahead of release.

I might play the beta but I've always found that sometimes I'll ruin a full release for myself if I spend too much time on it - so maybe just the early access days for me and then I'll wait for the full release!

Not sure the 'phantom' edition is worth the extra cash over the base game either.

After last night I started to do some man maths, got an Nvidia 3070ti but what card can I justify to myself is a worthwhile upgrade and what can I sell to fund the upgrade :D
Love man maths. I got a 9800x3d and a 5080 so should be golden. Recommended specs don't seem to high for this.

I've just checked the specs;

Recommended:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 11
Processor: Intel Core i7-10700, AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia RTX 3060Ti, AMD Radeon RX 6700-XT
DirectX: Version 12
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 80 GB available space
Sound Card: No Recommendation
VR Support: Not Supported

I'm sure that's at 480p so I'll have to upgrade ;)

Recommended seems about bang on a base PS5 (3700X and 6700XT) so as long as your PC is roughly around that you should mostly be alright!

Is the EA App what used to be known as Origin? I presume that's what we'll need installed to play the beta?

Thankfully if you buy the Steam version you won't need the EA App installed but you will if you buy the Epic Store version

Definitely seems to be moving back in the right direction, looking forward to giving the beta a spin.

Most of the maps I saw on streams looked quite small for Battlefield, but I guess they wanted to show off the action/ gunplay as much as possible.

I thought the same, lots of destruction but in a very small area. Looks promising though.

Makes sense, smaller maps make for more interesting footage to show than large maps where all people would see a lot of the time is people running or driving across open areas and no action.
