So I'm logged in, can see the loadouts and challenges but there is nothing under the play menu, I can't see how to actually join a game.

Ah bugger i think i know what's happened. It's logged me into BF using my old EA account which is still linked to steam and not the EA account i redeemed the code against (the one linked to my gamepass) annoying.

Actually i have no idea what's going on. Signing in with either email address shows the same EA user ID.

Well I cant get a key from twitch as apparently you are only ever allowed to link your EA account to 1 Twitch account in your lifetime.
 
pretty stupid inviting everyone to play your beta but then no one being able to play your beta

hopefully just a starting issue they fix - otherwise what's the point? hype generation? you have to sit through a 250,000 person queue every match?
 
Yep, im in 250,000 que, what a load of poop!! no way im sitting here waiting for that to go down to play, hope they sort this mess out
 
So I got in earlier, I got a code from a drop earlier this week. Set it all up, got in earlier but I couldn't play any games? All padlocked out. Does this mean I don't have an early access code.

I had issues with EA Play being on x email account and the code being sent to y email account but I unlinked and relinked all my apps/socials to the right account. Surely it would still know my game code is valid
 
Just had a quick round this morning on PS5 (queue seemed faster there vs. on PC) and it feels good. Runs nicely on performance mode on PS5 Pro, overlay was saying it was around 110-120fps without any noticeable drops (although hard to tell).

Aim assist was fun, I'm already expecting a few comments in this thread at some point because the slowdown when you go over an enemy is pretty helpful...!

Feels like a BF game, need to play a bit more to have a proper feel for it but that first game was a lot of fun.

I wish I could even get to that point to change control setups etc but the game starts up and locks you at the queue page. Poor show.

I have 2 x EA accounts seemingly with the same user ID. 1 is an old one which was linked to my xbox years ago and never really cleaned it all up. I used gamepass on my PC which i think logged me into the EA app as the wrong account. So think i activated the code against the wrong account. I've sorted all the linking and renamed the old user ID and bought a new code and activated against the correct login now. Back in the queue to see.

similar that I had my xbox gamepass with ea play under hotmail account and all my twitch/steam stuff linked under gmail account. Unlinked and relinked but still seemingly can't play anything.

Exactly what I had. Gmail was for Xbox linked account. I'm in now and can join games. Will try it later on.
 
I just had a couple of rounds, one was breakthrough I think and the other was conquest. Good first impressions. The map is chaotic though, it's so tight. I do prefer infantry combat but I'm looking forward to trying some of the bigger maps.

The gunplay is more like COD than old school Battlefield, it's very easy to kill people, not much recoil. Not saying that's a bad thing, but just something I noticed. I barely played 2042 so can't really compare, and BF3, BF4 I played so long ago I can't remember what they were like either.

Visually the game looks amazing. I'm playing in 4K with max settings and I didn't get any stutters or anything.
