Sim racers - what are you running?

Thought I'd finally got things sorted with my set up, now I have back pain after 30 mins of playing.... Need to my adjust the position of my pedals, wheel and swap my swivel office chair to a static chair from what I've read. The joys

Anyone else had similar?

I've just ordered a Moza R5 bundle (i'll pickup a load cell mod for the brake at some point). Any gotchas or tips for getting it setup properly?
There are multiple threads on reddit it about. Desk mounted? Wheel stand or some type of rig? I'm starting to wish I han't started with it all

Get the formula wheel - the cheap Moza one that replaces the supplied wheel. I find it more comfortable, and it's slightly lighter so the FF is a bit more pronounced.

Cheers, I'll look into that.

I've had a few races in ACC and finding it more responsive than the G923. I got the Brake Pedal upgrade kit, but need to mount the pedals as the base keeps tipping with the extra tension.

Edit: This the one you mean? https://www.overclockers.co.uk/moza-racing-moza-es-formula-wheel-rim-upgrade-rs032-gc-00r-mr.html

Yep. That's the one. The supplied wheel has slightly rough textures where my thumbs rest, which is a tiny bit uncomfortable. The open wheel one is smoother.

I bought my wheel direct from Moza, I think it was cheaper (but not much) They have UK distribution, so no import fees and they were quick too. But they seem to go out of stock everywhere, so if going to buy I'd just grab it where you can.

Has anyone got / tried / heard reliable reviews of the Next Level Racing HF8 Pro haptic feedback pad?

For £250 it looks decent, but would be interested in hearing any first hand experience.

I picked up the Formula wheel from OCUK and it arrived today. Had a quick go of it and its really good for such a cheap mod.

I'm looking at picking up an H pattern shifter (already have a standalone sequential so not fussed if it has dual modes) and was looking at the SHH or Moza. I could be talked into the Simagic if it's worth the extra, but don't drive H pattern cars much at the moment.

Current setup is a Simagic Alpha Mini, HE sprints, handbrake, and sequential shifter. I'm after something that's not going to feel too cheap/out of place amongst my current gear.

Currently leaning towards the SHH given some of the issues I've seen with the Moza, but will that feel a bit cheap next to my other equipment?

Anyone have any thoughts?

Moza user here and had no issues at all. Order from a uk supplier and you should be fine.
What are your thoughts on it? Does the action feel good? Is it decently weighted, etc.?

I'd probably just get it from Overclockers as I'd get free shipping so no issues there. I got my Simagic stuff through Abruzzi though and have nothing but praise for them.

I just bought an AB9 base, didn't realise I could use it as a gear shifter. Mighty expensive joystick! Mighty mighty expensive shifter if that's all you used it for!!

More than happy with it although only have a cheap Logitech to compare it to.

Seems responsive enough and definitely feels premium

Cheers for the feedback. I don't have any experience with H pattern shifters - my first wheel many years ago had a sequential built into it (Logitech Momo if anyone remembers those!) and I've used paddles ever since.

Anyone have any experience with the SHH or Simagic shifters?

New to Sim racing, picked up GT7 on PS5 last Christmas and loved it, bought a Logitech G923 at first then upgraded to the Logitech G Pro wheel and pedals. Recently moved over to PC and picked up Le Mans Ultimate and Automobilista 2.

Back in the game. My last rig used to really wind me up, it used to make all kinds of creaks and noises, pedals were never to my liking and I hated the forte wheel. It all made for a rig that I couldn’t get on with and I ultimately ended up selling

Went all in this time though. I have to say, I’ve owned so many pedal sets over the years but the difference the active pedals make is just mind blowing. It’s made me so much more consistent and quicker.

Still wish I had room for triples but I just can’t make it work without the rig completely dominating the whole room

So I’ve just picked up the r5 bundle from Argos. Two labels on the outer box all reference ocuk in stoke as the importers….

Is there a collaboration between Argos and OCuk?
