——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

Finally managed to jump on this afternoon, I was expecting it to run like a dog @ 5760x1080 surround (I've given my 1080ti to my partner's son as I don't really game any more these days) I've got his 1660 in my rig and surprisingly it ran really well, and even more importantly I thoroughly enjoyed the game, ok only an hour or so but it reminded me of the first time I played BF4, I wasn't expecting much then but really liked it (and still do!) whilst I'm not going to pre order as I simply don't game too much these days, once it's come down in price it'll definitely be on the next purchase list, along with something like a 3080 to really get the best from it.

Very surprised, I'm finally optimistic about a new Battlefield release!

Although I still wish they'd just remaster BF2! :D

very impressed with B6 - not had so much fun since Bad Company 2. Its fast paced but get used to the maps and get used to a weapon its not so bad. Hoping the maps in final release are medium sized not too small and cluttered, allowing old people like me to take my time and camp when needed with a sniper rifle haha. I've managed to be playing loads since Thursday got early release key

finding it a mixed bag. Combat feel good and much better than the last couple of BF games but I miss my old school maps and vehicles:/

BF Vietnam was one of my favourites. Boats, choppers and mopeds for all!!

I played the original BF1942 and got in the top 20 ranking, back in the day. Downhill ever since!

Skipped the last 2 versions, but BF6 feels good! And the popularity of the beta is great too. Really pleased
Realising you could move the aircraft carrier was insane. That game was such a epic step up, few games have come close since, maybe ARMA 3 but that is a bug filled, clunky mess.

It's a shame Rush isn't in the open beta, thats my favorite BF mode ever since Gold Rush in BC.
I preordered the game based on the strength of the open beta - I think it's bloody good. With the exception of 2042, the BF games have always been consistently solid for me.

I believe they are introducing Rush next weekend in the beta.

Rush was fantastic.

It looks and plays well for me from a performance standpoint. My primary concern at the moment is the Beta maps with sniping from one end to the other and TTK often measured in nanoseconds leaving little atmosphere and tension, it's just a frag fest. Although not my favourite, I don't mind fast-paced to a point. I'm just not a huge fan of so many people crammed into such small areas with such short TTK that there's no real need for tactics, just twitch reflexes and aim assist on controllers. Hopefully, larger maps will give some time to reward smart play, tactics, flanking and teamwork. Equally conscious there will be someone along shortly with "whatever boomer" (no, I'm not that old ;) )

Things getting glitchier and glitchier for me. I wonder if its due to the intense server load.
  • Some rounds unable to set weapon attachments, have to wait till I get back to the menus
  • one round I had no scores or cap points in my hud, game ended as a draw...
  • frequent loading screen loop between rounds
  • I've noticed a lot more graphical glitches as well
It feels like the game is showing strain under intense load.

Seems the servers are getting hammered, apart from the longer queues getting a lot more bugginess. Disappearing sounds, weapons, black screens between matches, low res textures not loading in etc
