Star Trek : Strange New Worlds

Watching the latest episode (03x05). Absolutely bored af. Tired of this sodding love triangle, tired of Korby, just give me normal episodes with something beating up the enterprise with space rocks flying about the bridge please.

Probably going to need to do a rewatch due to that ending, which did get my attention.

I enjoyed 3x05! However, i thought they could have done a bit more with the story :(

When they stepped out onto the Holy Grail Leap of Faith path i was thinking it would cut there and a "to be continued" message!

Deffo creepy, not sure about Paella's heebie jeebie, evil, over the top acting speech at the end, she's supposed to be a woman of science.

Nah enjoyed that :)

Ep 5 was a bit better but borrowed quite a bit from other material.
As stated the Indiana Jones Last Crusade Leap Of Faith and indeed the façade/entrance to the interior.
Aliens vs Predators (the first one) with the shifting rooms and areas and the various artefacts.
Babylon 5 Soul Hunter with the entities confined in a glass container.
And they actually allowed an albeit minor character to be killed off, plus a twist at the end.

There's plenty on the bridge Spock can continue to work his way around, the format has changed from monster of the week to ladyfriend of the week. Will keep the Kelvin timeline on the list too because they created that mess.

This is a dangerous mission, don't touch anything. Roger that, I'll pick up this glowing orb that's designed to auto explode after 5 seconds.

What's that, a highly dangerous entity who has taken over Ensign Magpie? Chuck him in the brigg and leave just Steve to keep an eye on him. Still enjoyed it for the most part, I still don't get the chief engineer.

He was a newbie and excited, but yeah a simple line from one of the experienced crew to tell him to put it down and stop ******* about would have sufficed and then it exploded.

Yeah, the red shirts got it good this episode :)

oooo a pretty snake on a hostile planet lets poke it. Oh no it's wrapped around my arm oh no it's very strong oh no it's broken my arm oh no it's forced entry into my suit.

Yeah can see where ST go inspiration from

The show is Neighbours combined with technobabble and characters I mostly can't name and certainly don't care about. It's Disco all over again with crew which have poor attitudes to command, probably because he's a white male and always cooking something. Slightly less crying than Disco but the same stupid format and story lines. I mostly gave up on it last series but have given it another try, needing to skim over the nonsense and try to bear the ridiculous portrayal of Spock and a love triangle. One has to choke back a little vomit while watching.

I'm out now. I can't allow it to rot my brain further. I'd rather watch Up the Long Ladder or that other terrible series 1 TNG episode than this.

As for the new series, I think that's already dead before it starts. Where is Legacy?

S1 was so good though :( Space battles, the clever/cunning Captain with a wealth of experience. Yes, now all he's good for is letting his crew make the decisions whilst he gets jiggy and busy in the kitchen. With everything revolving intership relationships and resolved by big hugs and feelings.

Surprised they haven't done a cook off battle episode.
