What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

Still loving Helldivers 2 - just easy to jump in, have a blast and then log off

Same - it's just the simplicity of it, nothing is "meta" so lots of viability to play with whatever OTT weapon you want, death is part of the fun as well. It's also the community for me, who lean into the absurdity of it all.

Do you have to have others to play with to enjoy that game?

Not at all - although I'd advise turning off cross play. Don't want to be all "PC Masterrace" etc, but it eliminated what (admittedly, very little) toxicity I saw. As above, the community is great.

Just finished wolfenstein A new order.
Not played a modern wolfenstein before and it was a good game. A basic straight forward fps with a good story and good voice actors.

Taking a break from PC games to the consoles. Pikmin 3 with the kids! The last boss is a bit tricky for them and they've got annoyed  Otherwise been some Pokemon Rom hacks - trying to figure out which ones I like - and some other GBA games to relive the 00s.

I had started a replay of GTA V but got a bit bored of it part way through.

Started playing Overwatch again as my go to multiplayer game. Of course trying to recapture my youth playing the BF6 open beta this weekend. It's not bad, but I think still not quite the same as back in the day *old man noises*

Still playing Space Marine 2, haven't been into a game this much in a very long time. 147 hours in total which is very high for me.

On with FF7 Rebirth. I'm 20hrs in, but still only at the early stages because it took me a while to get to grips with the various options and systems

Even with a flying start, you'd still be at the early stages at the 20 hour point. I played it first on PS5, but when I replayed it on PC, knowing what I was doing and using WeMod to skip a couple of the more infuriating minigames, it was still an 80 hour game.

Agreed. FH4 has more charm and the map / geography is better. My only regret is not playing it more when it launched on Steam, as since it's delisting some of the achievements are now impossible to get.
Same, mate!
Yeah, I did the same thing, bought it awhile ago before it was to be delisted, but a lot of the DLC doesn't work due to stuff not being active/online anymore - no biggie considering IIRC it was £36 or something like that.

Pokemon Crystal on GBA is the GOAT IMHO, then Yellow on GBC. But Crystal just felt leagues ahead in every way and so polished, the story was good too.

The original Arma (2007), developed by BIS Studios, the sequel to the groundbreaking Codemasters' Operation Flashpoint (2001).

Arma feels incomplete in some areas, with a limited number of units compared to Flashpoint or Arma 2, though that's expected since Arma 2 was released in 2009.

Arma features tropical islands that still hold up well today. The clean graphics and decent gunplay make it enjoyable - a lighter version of Arma 2/3 that's easier for me, to pick up and play.

The simpler graphics run super smooth, and the reduced grass and foliage make spotting enemies easier, which is crucial when facing the typical Arma "Terminators."

Awesome! I never knew it was the follow up, I guess it's like how TOCA became GRID, both being Codemasters games.

Just finishing Expedition 33 which has been epic, got Robocop and KCD2 to finish and picked up Cyberpunk Ultimate Edition cheap a while back, even though I’ve finished the base game before looking forward to going through with the expansion now. Also like others HD2 satisfies my quick jump in mp gaming now and again, just so easy to play.
