Summer Transfer Window 25/26 *Sponsored by Bigpig*

"Yohan Cabaye has explained the finer details surrounding his unsuccessful transfer to Arsenal in 2013, revealing he went on strike due to failed promises made by Newcastle United."

Seems to be a running theme with you lot, no wonder no one wants to sign for you
Oh yeah a running theme from 10 years ago, talking more ***** I see Clarky

hmmmm... what value is that? 150mil? that's a made up valuation put on him to put off potential suiters... he's certainly not a 150mil striker... given his numbers...

They are all made up valuations. None of them are worth these fees. Simply put they have said if you want him we value him at 150m, pay it or shut up. Same as the fee Liverpool wanted for Salah, Coutinho, Torres or the Suarez saga.

Agreed they are all made up, but when a player wants to go, you shirley have to be more realistic in that valuation.

Or if it was to put off other clubs from bidding, then give the player a new longer better contract with a 150m-170m release clause, sorted!

This seems have been said over and over, but it's a red herring isn't it?

Newcastle can't be at once hamstrung by PSR in terms of fees and wages and also willing to chuck the best part of £100m down the drain.

If Isak doesn't move its all good, no? If they can find a striker like Wissa to come in for half the money of Isak, then thats all good as well.

But it's not like an Everton where they need to sell or get players out the door.

No idea who this is and at work so can’t YouTube’s.

But we do need a CAM

Going to talk to myself here. Just checked him out and watched a few breakdowns. He’s exactly the profile of player Newcastle lack in the squad.

Loves playing in the half spaces. The type of player you would want to be receiving the ball in the final 3rd something Leicester fails to due regularly which screws his numbers.

If he’s getting fed by Sandro or Bruno in the first phase could be something special:D

20million release clause? Seems a no brainier. Over to Newcastle to **** it up.

The bigpig kiss of death

100% Grealish overrated.. he has very few moments of brilliance.. but not enough to justify the price tag.. or the England call up..

most of the time, he slows play down, and comes inside.. to pass backwards/sideways..
but is that him or was he doing what the manager wanted him to - Grealish did not play like that at Villa.

Donnarumma has been left out of PSG's squad for the game against Spurs. Kind of mad really if we somehow manage to sign him. One of the best keepers in the world right now and only 26.

That would be the icing on a good window.

Final year of his contract so shouldn't be too expensive.

Not sure what will happen on that one as I read it was to do with wanting higher wages and we’re trying to keep away from properly astronomical ones these days.

Liverpool fans having a yap and blaming the Newcastle for a mess they instigated is amusing. With them lauding how much headroom they have left to spend and the wages they can afford all they had to do was make Newcastle an offer they couldn’t resist.

They could have had their number one target and their dream signing instead of trying to get him on the cheap!

If Isak is to stay he’s got some ass kissing to do.

He can also start by paying his Car tax. The tax dodger!!

Apparenly his stats in the league have been...lacklustre and he wants massive wages. Would be a brave move to sign him on a large contract.

He’s already on huge amounts dude from moving on a free last time around! (I think)

No, when Ronaldo wanted to go United didn't buckle and the fee wasn't reduced because everyone knew he wanted out. They told him if he was a good boy he could go the next year if the fee was right. If he had 12 months to go there might be an issue but even then if the buying club desperately wants the player the fee doesn't have to be reduced.

I've said this before with release clauses, I'm not sure why they don't put in stupid release clauses like the Spanish clubs do. I'm sure there's a reason but I don't know what it is.

Personally in the PL I'd welcome tougher rules in the clubs favour.
