Quick under voltage (-50mv is a good starting point), fast memory timings and set it to 2750mhz. Can all be done in Adrenaline menus.
Thanks! 2750 on the memory seems like a big jump, no? My default mem clock is 2518...

Finally caved in and got the Asus 9070 XT for ~$760 incl. tax (~565 gbp)... the CP2077 2.3 patch with FSR4 is what pushed me over the edgesorry @Thekwango
One thing that struck me out of the box was the weight difference between my reference 6900XT (1.52kg) and this Asus card (1.16kg). Copious amounts of cheap plastic have definitely been used.
I'm on the latest 25.8.1. driver - any other suggestions for a 9000 series noobie please?
@CAT-THE-FIFTH can you TROH me up please? Apologies for the awful pic!

Seeing as it’s you, I’ll forgive yousorry @Thekwango
Seeing as it’s you, I’ll forgive youTo be honest, I may have to dig deeper into my pocket and accept I need to buy a new card. My current card is slowly doing the dance of death.
But she’s served me well so I can’t complain too loudly.
Aye, I might actually refit its own cooler (it’s in a custom loop) and mount it on the wall of the man cave when/if I give in and replace it - or it dies completely. I’ve had so much fun with this card as it just loved to be tweaked (ohh err!!)Vega 64 iirc? Might be time to take that ol' dawg out back
Join the glorious RDNA4 master race![]()
That seems like a nice send off mate, do itAye, I might actually refit its own cooler (it’s in a custom loop) and mount it on the wall of the man cave when/if I give in and replace it - or it dies completely. I’ve had so much fun with this card as it just loved to be tweaked (ohh err!!)
We’re in the midst of doing an extension and the car needs replacing - there’s a strong possibility my missus might well mount me on the wall if I sploodge 600 odd notes on a gpuThat seems like a nice send off mate, do it![]()

Edit: all joking aside, I actually think I will do that with the vega when it is finally retired/deaded.
Should be fine.
...mount it on the wall of the man cave.
Divorce/dump her, then the whole house is a man caveWould love a "GPU wall of fame"... but would first need a man cave![]()
Small benefit from cranking power, but you're well past peak efficiency, I tend to set -10% in this heat.Sweet, seems all good from a quick 5 minute run of that tool
What about power limits? Any benefit to cranking that up, or is it a case of diminishing returns?
Well I say man cave. It’s an extension (unfinished but probably 70% there) that will initially be a home office/second living room/bolt hole from the kids but I have been assured that a whole corner of it is for me to do with as I wish. So yea I’m calling it my man cave to any one my wife will never speak with. And yes I do wear the trousers in the houseWould love a "GPU wall of fame"... but would first need a man cave![]()
You won't have to wear trousers in the man cave thoughWell I say man cave. @Invertigo some charts towards the end.
Did you delete the existing shader cache? This can cause issues when changing GPU if not deleted.Hi all, just upgraded GPU from an Asus 1080TI to the Asus 9070XT. ive changed the PSU to 1200 watts, which we ran on the 1080TI with no problems. Got the new card today and installed it. New Doom runs flawlessly. But his having massive micro stuttering in Forza 5. Never had this with the 1080TI. Any tips to sort this out? With thanks
