Call of duty Black ops 6

i think this is the best location for :

its interesting and i wonder how many more game might follow suit

Season 5 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone arrives on August 7,

PC players without TPM 2.0 enabled may receive an in-game notification indicating their system does not meet the new security requirements when launching applicable Call of Duty games. However, the publisher says it won't be enforcing this or requiring the use of either setting during Season 5, but both TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot will be required when Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launches later this year.
Will this be enforced on Black Ops 6 or just Black Ops 7? If it's Black Ops 6 as well then would people who don't have compatible systems be entitled to refunds or are they out of luck?

hard to say, i suspect it wont be this year they implement but probably next season for BO6 based on wording.
BO7 they pretty much said you need those 2 things.
i feel its a bit of an odd move as im not sure how it will help to much with cheating. a lot of the hack will happen within windows as example. you can also run virtual machines with both enabled so im a bit confused over the move

So when I start COD BO6 it tells me that TPM 2.0 isn't enabled/available, but Windows says it is.
Anyone else have this and did you manage to resolve it?
There's a thread on BO6 reddit with this question which might give you some pointers:

This is Activision's CoD TPM & Secure Boot page:

I spotted this today whilst updating the Intel graphics driver for my CPU;
there is an Intel folder on the C:\ drive which contains:

C:\Intel\iGfx\XeFX -- Inside that folder were 282 cod.exe folders, each containing an empty csv file "Features.csv" -- all from 2023.

A search got this result from the Blizzard forums about the Intel folder being created each time Diablo IV was run.
https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/d4/t/ ... game/54828

It appears that CoD had the same effect.
Anyway, I've deleted the Intel folder with no adverse result.

Black Ops 7 details:

Extract re: BO6 content:-
"
Black Ops 7 will feature the ability to utilize a wide variety of content from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
This mostly begins a few weeks after launch at the start of Season 1.
Prior to more in-depth comms on this subject, here’s what to expect:
Black Ops 6: XP Tokens and GobbleGums will carry forward at the launch of Black Ops 7.
Black Ops 6 Weapons, Operators, and Operator Skins will carry forward at the start of Season 1 with some exceptions:
  • Equipment and Scorestreak Skins for content unavailable in Black Ops 7 will not carry forward.
  • Equipment and Scorestreak Skins for content updated for Black Ops 7
(for example, a Scorestreak that performs similarly, but has a different look and feel in BO7 compared to BO6) will not carry forward.
  • Black Ops 6 Weapon Camos will not be transferable to Black Ops 7 weapons, but still usable on Black Ops 6 weapons.
Call of Duty®: Warzone integration will also begin at Season 1.
All current content, including Operators, Weapons, and Weapon Blueprints from Modern Warfare® II, Modern Warfare III, and Black Ops 6 will carry forward with some caveats and exceptions:
  • Weapons will continue to be tuned for Call of Duty: Warzone.
  • Call of Duty: Warzone players should expect a Rank Reset at Season 1, with your progression synchronized to Black Ops 7’s Progression Systems.

And...maybe not:

"What’s Changing and Why
Operators, Operator Skins, and Weapons from Black Ops 6 will no longer carry forward into Black Ops 7.

Black Ops 7 needs to feel authentic to Call of Duty and its setting.
That is why Black Ops 6 Operator and Weapon content will not carry forward to Black Ops 7.
Double XP tokens and GobbleGums will still carry forward, because we recognize your time and progression are important.
This change applies only to Black Ops 7.
Call of Duty: Warzone is not affected, and all your Black Ops 6 content stays usable there."
