Thanks, @Capitano - but it looks like OLED is another £300 or so over an IPS screen so that's probably a bit rich for me now. Shout if you don't think that's right though, because it looks like my chosen monitor isn't currently available so I'm probably going to need a rethink there (or at least not buy from OC).

They definitely are expensive so you're probably right in your assumption. Doesnt need to be now, but I think overtime you should look into getting one if you can because the difference in visuals alone look night and day and you can never go back once you go OLED

Note that my case is 207mm across externally so I think I have about 160mm clearance between it and the CPU on the motherboard. That rules out the 130 and 140 CPU coolers I think. This should be okay though, shouldn't it?
I've also added a random thermal paste. Or do people use "pads" these days as a more reliable option?

You dont need to buy any thermal paste as the paste thermalright suply is perfectly good for the job.
The phantom spirit can be had for less money from other sites and is a better cooler that will still fit in your case as its 155mm tall.

Antec P180. Old. Happy to buy a new one, so long as an RGB glow isn't compulsory
Think they are only 3mm different, though I understand that could be a crucial 3mm!
Thats a great case bt very old and with poor airflow compared to todays cases. I can recommend this one as I have built in it. No rgb at all and good standard fans

i can advise not to get the m25's ever at low RPM they make so much noise.
i got a Eclipse G400A that come with m25's pre installed and they had to be replaced. the noise it constant even at low rpm's

That case looks nice, but it's interesting that it seems to mark a shift from the guided airflow that the P180 focused on to just having a big open (dust-free) space. Guess that's because passive CPU coolers are no longer used. Am I right that you are mounting these extra fans as inlet fans at the front, and leaving the outlet through the back and top largely passive?

In general No or buy an external drive as they are pretty cheap.
Yes or you can add further fans to the top, rear and below the gpu to increase the airflow in/out. All depends on your budget as this wasnt in your original needs to your budget.

The T500 is likely to be a much better drive. P310 has very low rated endurance (nearly 1/3rd of the T500).

Havent used this one but on paper it looks good, I would check out some youtube reviews to see what people say. If its a newer QD-OLED panel you can't really go wrong
