——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

Dunno if this is standard with most FPS games but in BF6 you get less recoil and aim assist with a controller.
Its the same as what I said about aim assist for controllers in games, if a PC m&k player had a piece of software which reduced their recoil, it would be considered a cheat. Its ludicrous that controller users get benefits that help them to kill that would normally be considered a cheat. Not just a BF thing of course, its common across most shooter games for controllers.

Yeah it’s been a thing with BF games since BF1, controller just has less recoil.
What they should do is simply restrict the matches based on the control method, so that all controller users are in one match and all mouse and keyboard users are in another match. That way, everyone is on a level playing field in terms of control methods

The more I read this thread the more I realise how much of a casual gamer i am these days cause I really, really don’t care about pads having some degree of aim assist when M&KB is superior in every metric for an FPS.

I care even less about the principle
Which is fine, different people have different levels of caring about stuff

You are right about the casual thing though, these last 2 weekend have taught me that I'm too much of a casual gamer for the sweaty-ness of these games now

I'm starting to understand the complaints about the TTK. Its a tricky thing to balance, if you set it too high its frustrating shooting bullet sponges, if you set it too low like it is now then it encourages camping because what happens is 90% of the time whoever spots the other player first wins the gun battle

TTK has to be high enough that campers don't get rewarded because you can still run around and get lots of kills if you have enough skill

Correct. As I just stated I’m clearly just casual these days because I don’t see why some have a bee in their bonnet about this.

Unless this is directly impacting your financial livelihood why sweat the small stuff? it’s just a game for having fun.

True, for me fun is a level playing field in a sport/game. Its why I tend to not let other players have an extra piece in chess :)

But we all get fun in different ways, some people, so I'm led to believe, actually find fortnite fun

Initially I thought it was a TTK issue but the more I've played (almost 25 hours now) the more I believe its a TTD issue and its netcode related, which in some ways might actually be worse because a TTK can be easily changed but an issue with netcode is a deeper one thats not as easily remedied.

Who else likes playing support role?

I do, but find with medic responsibilities I’m playing more in an assault role.
Normally I like to sit back a little and suppress the enemy and throw some smokes to help my team advance.

Is there a better suited weapon in the support class that’s better when being in the thick of it playing medic role?

When I have the medic responsibilities I feel bad not playing that role also.
