——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

Servers were creaking last night one frame death galore, was dying to people without even hearing their gunshots, getting killed well after hiding behind cover, had some oddities with animations not playing for reloads but after a few sec my bullit count jumped to full again.

It was unplayable for me last night. The netcode is complete trash along with the servers. Me my son and a few friends just gave up playing.

Likewise, at this time its a no brainer for me. I'll probably pick up the phantom edition on a key site closer to the time.
I've had a lot of fun playing the Beta, I've only one more objective left to complete(revives). Its absolutely not without its faults/shortcomings, but its the most fun I've had in an online shooter since probably BF4.

I've grown to like it a little more than I did initially but its still got too many issues for me and it still doesnt really fit me gameplay wise anymore, I think I may have simply outgrown this sort of game. That combined with the pricepoint vs fit and its release date being much too close to Arc Raiders (10 days apart) , a game that is made by the original DICE devs and whose "beta" I absolutely loved, means that BF6 remains a no-buy for me. I'm happy that I had the chance to play it and assess it though.

Perhaps, somewhere down the line, in a year or two I might pick it up, depending on whether anyone is still playing it then, but shooterwise, its Borderlands 4 (next month) and Arc Raiders (October) which will be my 2025 shooters.

Im currently running through the old games to compare them to BF6

Man BF4 still feels really good, even though the graphics now suck.

I'm wondering what's wrong with BF2042? I played it for 30 mins in multiplayer and its actually better than the BF6 beta

Oh god the massive red text "XX number of reinforcements have been added to the enemy team" when you lose a sector in breakout is beyond stupid. In the middle of a fire fight and size 200 Ariel font in bright red hoves into view blocking everything but peripherals. Why god why? Just put it to one side you crazy people
They did a very similar thing with text and banners taking over the screen in 2042 which everyone complained about, clearly a lesson has not been learned.

I was tempted to do this just to check if my memories of BF4 (albeit I played on PS4 at the time) are clouding my judgement of BF6, and see if BF4 was in fact just as fast-paced and twitchy as BF6 is, but I've only got it on Origin or the EA App or whatever they call it now, and I can't be bothered with that.

It's almost like you're playing a beta, just total trash

Anyone who's been around long enough should know that all Battlefield betas in the past have just been demos and any issues remain in the final release.

Can't remember but I think it was BF3 that suffered from the exact same netcode issues at launch before they introduced the higher tickrate servers.

You're comparing a game that's been out several years and had major overhauls and patches with a test version of a game that's not even out yet. COME ON, THINK.

It's still the same engine and still has the same issues. The netcode and ttd will NOT be fixed in the full game. This game is meant to be the best parts of the game, to get the pre sales monies..

To much wrong with the game for me, to spend 60 to 80 quid on it..

I hope its a great success, so it kicks call of duty devs into making a great cod in mw4.

Hopefully UE5 pubg is good, as pubg is still one of the best fps games ever made.

That argument might hold water, if issues from the "beta" didn't pretty much always surface in the final game. Hit-reg has been an issue in battlefield games for well over a decade now.
