——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

Yeah, ive always noticed the battlefield games seem to hit the cpu quite hard, just not had it anywhere near 100% usage while playing myself, hope i havent jinxed it for release lol

Someone at EA has a sense of humour :s - I had a launcher related error message and in the list of ways to try and sort it there was "as a last resort try another browser" and then under the last resort "Maybe try playing Battlefield 2042 instead".

EDIT: After what I said about cheaters earlier - 2 games tonight the top 4-5 players on each team were blatantly using ESP and aimbots.

Is the Battlepass a premium extra, I know the phantom edition comes with tier skips, but do you get the battle pass regardless of what edition you get?

Can't remember how it worked in previous bf titles.

Nah, the first season battle pass only comes included with the premium edition (plus the tier skips) and then a few character skins as well.

I don't think the premium edition is worth it for this one, considering battle passes usually cost 7.99-9.99 and I personally find tier skips an insane waste of money.

Also trying to find out more info on Battlepass.

I have pre-ordered standard - do I get access to the pass at level 1 or is it something you have to buy into? I've not played a BF title for a while now so unsure how its implemented.

Like most here, I really enjoyed the Beta weekend and am looking forward to seeing the final game when released.
I'll probably wait a week to make sure the review consensus is positive and also that they are true to their word that they'll remove the COD feel. I suspect that the big maps will remove that feeling, but want to make sure before dropping £60.

Are all of you this thick as to not even check their actual channel out and just believe whatever ********* is fed straight to you? She was streaming 2042 about 4 hours ago, her channel is not banned.

It’s mad how it’s consistently 50 year olds who can’t aim that think anyone who can shoot straight for more than 3 consecutive kills is cheating now.

The whole cheating/not cheating for Rileycs thing has been a huge money booster, not just for Riley...loads and loads of streamers have made videos on it, all of which has gained them tons of clicks and in Rileys own case, prior to the cheating debate Riley was averaging 290 viewers and now is gettng average of 1500 viewers, so its more than quadrupled the number of people watching the channel.

As the saying goes, no publicity is bad publicity !

There are sadly a lot of people cheating though - I had a funny one just now, wish I was recording, in BF4 where someone was called out for cheating but the admins were adamant they'd spectated them and they were legit and then 5 minutes later Fairfight banned them! was so obvious if you died to them and in the deathcam their player model was snapping all over the place as they were instantly targeting people.

There are - and it goes hand in hand with complaints and whining about people that aren't cheating, who are just very good at FPS games. Because there are people that do cheat, it makes it 'easier' to just be convinced anyone decent must also be cheating.

The 'good aimers' aren't using a tiny mousepad with a 150g mouse for 1 hour a day after work/uni- they have a 50cm x 50cm mousepad, a sub 50g mouse and they'll spend 3 hours a day just in Kovaaks before they even play anything.

My biggest issue right now is everyone jumping to the assumption that someone is cheating right away. It's in this thread (and countless others by the same group), it's in text chat in games, it's across other forums etc. The default approach has become that if someone is doing something that they can't do, they must be cheating - or at least are declared guilty before anything else.

But you’re jumping to the opposite conclusion.

It makes it more difficult when skilled players employ cheats as the edge it needs to give them is much smaller (also harder to spot). It’s a skill in itself cheating convincingly.

Jump into something like BF4 and there are a disgusting amount of people cheating - I'm no pro-gamer but I can still pull out games like this despite not playing Battlefield games for 4 years:

Even if it was laming it up with the MG4 I was running and gunning not camping. There was multiple players definitely using ESP and a smaller number definitely using aimbots.

(Zowie FK-2 B and Razer Gigantus v2 medium)

As an aside I'm still getting some odd lag with the game, still the same issue with around half a second to a second of damage delay despite multiple hardware, OS and internet connection changes and still able to compete reasonably well.

I have gone and pre-ordered this with a full expectation that I would need to upgrade my CPU (Ryzen 5 5600) and my GPU (RX 5700), but the game ran ok, albeit on the smaller map size.

I have bought a Ryzen 7 5800X as they are cheap as chips now.

Got 32GB RAM already.

9060XT 16GB worth considering for the GPU?
