Why tho? Your midfield is atrocious, your defence is average at best, your wb's (the key to the entire system thst amorim plays are amongst the worst in the league) your goalkeepers are championship level at best. I'd argue that the teams thst finished 1-8 last season and spurs all have better squads, then the likes of Bournemouth, fulham, Palace all have better managers.
Except they did.
Because you overhype and then come crashing down. Look at how a loss against arsenal was taken by folks, said it before but you need to completely ignore performances and results against the big boys of the league.
Just because you say they expected that doesn’t make it true. Plus, it's just a prediction and not necessarily serious. You've got us being relegated and that's not overly likely. (I might regret that now

)
I don’t think the squad is
that bad. There are weaknesses of course, but it’s not bottom half, IMO. It just looks that way at the moment. Sure, the midfield is weak, but it looks even weaker when it's 2v3 in most games.
You’ve said it yourself there, you think the traditional mid-table clubs all have better managers, so why shouldn’t we be looking for a better one too.
I'm really not sure as to the best way forward. The Burnley game tomorrow is now a huge one, and then the owners need to have a discussion with Amorim and plot a way forward. If he absolutely refuses to change, then he's finished.
So you're going to do the same thing you did after Moyes. And after Van Gaal. And after Mourinho. And after Solskjær. And after ten Hag. Just change the manager, and hope that things will be different this time and the players don't down tools at the first mere hint of it not being easy street.
Moyes - poor timing and looked out of his depth. Not a progressive manager in any way, shape or form and never has been.
LvG - best days were well behind him.
Mourinho - same as LvG.
Solskjaer - actually did quite well considering his credentials, but did anyone ever really think he's destined to be an elite manager?
Ten Hag - was given a fair crack at the job and after 2 years we were going backwards.
The same criticisms have been aimed at the players for the past decade, yet the squad is very different now. It's easier to try and find a manager who can actually work with these players. Amorim was a gamble for several reasons and he will tell you himself, he's been nowhere near good enough so far.
