We are so wet physically, at least Cunha and Mbuemo help rectify that, but so often we see united players falling over getting pushed off the ball waving their arms around expecting the ref to save them.

Fine, you do that once, and if the ref is having none of it, then you gotta start getting more physical. It's not like any of these lads are that slight, Amad excepted.

Would a 4-2-3-1 not be better as again the 3-4-2-1 relies on wb's

I was referring to the 3421 as his current system, I've seen it called all sorts - but yeah, 4231/433/whatever has got to be worth a go.

We need to just keep playing Sesko as a striker, with Cunha inside LW and Mbeumo RW.

Then it's just sorting out the midfield, Ugarte and Mainoo with Bruno. Swap Mainoo for Casemiro if we need to be more defensive. Mount can play in there too and has lots of energy (until he gets injured).

I think we have a reasonable set of defenders with some good depth, it's just finding the best combination of that as a back 4.

Amorim's ideal system relies on two excellent central midfielders and two excellent wing backs. We have none of these and can't get them in this transfer window. So why even bother...

Lammens in goal, Mazraoui right back (I think). Dalot is hopeless. Maguire vs De Ligt, they don't look that different in honesty...

Obviously they want Baleba but need to find someone similar and cheaper before Monday!

I forgot you had that Mazraoui fella, is he injured? Maguire over de ligt every day, yeah he became a laughing stock in part due to the price you paid for him and your ****** goalie having a go when he 1st came, but he gives 100% every game and he "gets' what it means to play for you - upgrade next season.

I think there's still bigger issues like why players such as Mainoo and Garnacho may be leaving, when I believe that goes against the grain of the values of the club, and we should be building around such exciting and prospective talents. Also look at players that moved such as Elanga and how well he is doing, also someone like McTominay who is not that young anymore but unfortunately felt like he had to leave and is now flourishing. This also highlights the issues I feel are still prevalent.

Not suggesting we need a new manager right now, but maybe someone like Carlo Ancelotti would have been or is suitable, giving the players more freedom of expression and still winning games. Like I said in another post I feel we mostly have a good squad now, so there is no excuses not to be performing.

Let's see what happens, I hope no rash decisions are made. I remember Amorim saying he would rather quit than be sacked. I think with the new signings we need at least a couple of months to really be able to judge. But I think the reality is if we aren't winning the next few games, it could be game over for Amorim.

We still have Heaven and Yoro who are young and we're buying young too. Sesko.

Garnacho has attitude problems and Manioo hasn't gone yet.

We should have kept Elanga but McT wasn't ever played in his best position. He's also in a lower quality league - look how well Antony did.

We also have to remember that playing for and against Forest/United provides different challenges for players, Elanga probably has more space there.

yeah - I agree.

I still think Mount has decent upside if he stays fit - he's positive, creative and hard working.

As an outsider, who knows little about the club, it seems concerning that half of the time Man Utd's best defender and also one of the biggest goal threats is Harry Maguire.

Yeah he's been injured, but he's a pretty solid player (albeit nothing special). Agree really on Maguire, a strong threat from corners too - albeit in the 90th minute :p

Bruno, Cunha and Mbeumo will be able to provide a decent level of service for Sesko. It's on the manager to get them in the right positions and then it's on Sesko to take advantage of the chances.

I did say at the start of the season we need to give Amorim the first 10 games following a pre-season, and with his new players. I'll stand by that, with the caveat that a bad defeat tomorrow would almost certainly spell the end for him, given who we're playing after...

Man City (Away)
Chelsea (Home)
Brentford (Away)
Sunderland (Home)
-October Int'l Break-
Liverpool (Away)
Brighton (Home)

It's not inconceivable we lose all of these except Sunderland, although the players tend to raise their level a bit against better sides.

That's the problem, I'd worry more about losing against the "lesser" teams, just doesn't make sense . Performance needs to be the same against any team and that's half the problem solved..

Just seen Amorim's presser. He does seem overly emotional.

His poor kids. Where was the counter point for his kids :p

Reminds me of some Britney Spears lyrics…

Sometimes I run (Sometimes)
Sometimes I hide
Sometimes I'm scared of you
But all I really want is to hold you tight
Treat you right
Be with you day and night
All I really want is to hold you tight
Treat you right
Be with you day and night
Baby, all I need is time

Mountain out of a mole hill

The press conference? I agree to an extent, a lot of it is just how he's expressing himself in a second language.

But there is a wider concern, he is without doubt a very emotional person and this club is going to be a constant rollercoaster for the foreseeable future.

In the entire Premier League era, only 13 managers have had fewer points after 29 games. That needs to change dramatically, immediately.

Yeah, hes got one game to turn this around IMO and even if he wins that he will be under constant review unless he can settle things and put in a good run of performances.

I prefer this style of leadership over a robot that voices endless meaningless platitudes despite everything going to ****.

Yeah, his personality and openness doesn't bother me at all. I am far more bothered by the way we play, the lack of improvement and the results.
