BMW and M Power Owners

On the contrary the 330d or the M340i/M340d are the ones to get because a good BMW saloon should have a 6 cylinder engine not a 4 cylinder engine ;)

Would have agreed on the N47 and N20, but the B47 and B48 are excellent engines and I don’t think for the average person it’s worth spending the extra any longer.

Loved my 320d, except for the gearbox, and thought the 330i when I test drove one was equally good, with ample low down torque but revved out a little more.

The 6 cylinders are fantastic, owning a 340i myself, but the 4 cylinders are just a touch cheaper.

If a 6 cylinder was required, I’d be in a 530d IMO.

I don't think the interior does look better - the interior wasn't designed originally to have that massive touch screen and adding it later makes it look like it was just stuck on. I much preferred the original which is why I went for a 2021 car. It's the perfect blend of modern technology but with things like proper buttons as well.
Yep thanks. I've been looking through both and I agree on the pre-LCI having the edge. When I'm able to buy in a year or so it'll mean a max age of 2022 so it could also turn out a touch kinder on the wallet (unless I get pressured into the 340i :D)

Heyyy. My father in law has a 220i which is coming up to 3 years old. The quote for the comprehensive warranty is coming in at £673 with zero excess. Does that sound reasonable?

Yeah it is but I’d probably look at the £100 excess option
And unless it’s changed even if you don’t take roadside assistance you can still call them and they’ll take you to the closest BMW dealership, you just miss out on the extras like forward travel etc. or you might have recovery and roadside from elsewhere, I get it from my bank account for example.

Yeah this is a good shout too

Seems high for a 220.

A friend on another forum paid just over £400 for an M240i with £100 excess. That's for a 2021 car with ~50k miles.

Is this via the renewal letter sent to you?
Or a separate quote

Anyone made their F30 n57 3.0L disel sound half decent? If so what are you guys running? I know diel is not a petrol still, it has its uses on the motor way and occasional fun on the weekend

Inside or outside?

My 335d is stock other than a tuning box and I always think it sounds decent inside.. they're pretty grumbly :)

Well I now no longer see the point of paying for BMW washer fluid.

The tank on my 340i has clogged, but car is under AUC warranty. I exclusively use the BMW washer fluid, as much as it pains me.

Rang up, told them the situation, they asked if I used the BMW washer fluid, else it won’t be covered.

They’ve just called and told me that it is indeed blocked, but it isn’t something covered under warranty so I need to pay for it.

Absolutely fuming with BMW given all the crap about having to use their own washer fluid.
