Google Pixel 10 Series (10/10 Pro/10 Pro XL/10 Pro Fold & Pixel Watch 4)

Yer I thought that mate, I do between 20-35km hikes on the weekend so having a watch that can last is essential to me, I have to basically put PW2 on airplane mode to get the whole hike on the battery life in the PW to so I'm hoping PW4 is a lot better... to be honest a bit disappointed people keep saying I should get a Garmin, if this PW disappoints me I will have to succumb to pier pressure.... yer I did notice the price on the metal link straps, mental!

No phone company smart watch compares to a garmin for things like hiking. Especially for long distances.

Just spotted that the previous pixel stands aren't compatible with the P10?

this peeves me off, i use my 8P (via a case) with maglock charging, and with google wireless charger, so the 2 systems are compatible, this just stinks of "lets get as much money as we can" out of their customers

I took my PW3 to Rome, with a lot of walking. On battery saver it lasted me 3 days.

The PW4 is meant to be even better.

Garmin will do that without battery saver, I.e higher GPS accuracy and higher hr accuracy etc. And then some.

It's not designed as a gaming device, but I'm sure there is some driver / software issues here.
Yes, the driver is stuck at 1.1 (which doesn't officially support Android 16) which is limiting the GPU to 400Mhz instead of 1100Mhz. Latest driver with Android 16 support was only released mid August, so I would expect this situation to drastically improve with a later update.

Good info!

There is definitely something up with the drivers then.

Hopefully Google release some updated driver soon. Shame this wasn't sorted at launch.

If this driver release drastically boost the GPU performance of the G5, there is a whole lot of YouTubers going to have to re-review this
Yeah I mean it's so obviously a software issue when you stop and think about it.

I hadn't been paying any attention in the slightest about gaming/gpu based reviews on the P10 because I really don't do any phone gaming, but today when I spotted that the GPU scores were lower than a P6 then just a few mins of googling found the answers why. So I guess any reviewer that just assumed the GPU was ultra garbage is probably not worth their salt.

It's not true, mine is charging on the original pixel stand right now and it works on my daughters pixel stand gen 2 as well

Do let us know if you hear anything about a new driver.

Does the pixel 10 accept physical SIM cards? I just saw in the US its eSIM only?!?

Why would it be a problem?

It's 2025, not 2005 and eSIMs are so much easier.
All I did to swap my SIM was login to the EE app, download my eSIM and Boom my SIM is working on my new phone

No ejecting the small draw, no waiting for a SIM to arrive in the post when taking a new contract. They just work :)

I use it for personal and work numbers, but work issue SIM cards and will not issue eSIMs so I've no choice but to have at least 1 standard slot.

Ah fair enough, makes sense.
I wish my work issued SIM cards, instead they give us the whole phone. But to save money they're always old and I swear with the time it takes to use the old phone compared to using a modern one it eats up any of their cost savings

So I caved in.

Traded in the 9 Pro XL for the 10 Pro.

I wanted to try a smaller phone. The 9 Xl has become a uncomfortable to hold.

Anyone else gone from the 9 Pro XL to the 10 Pro?

So many questions I'm not sure I want answers to.... LOL

Probably deserves an answer. I'm playing with my diet and exercise routine and have been taking a photo in the mirror every other day to track progress. P10P looks noticeably magazine like texture compared to P6P.
