Summer Transfer Window 25/26 *Sponsored by Bigpig*

Jota who rarely started up front though, and often covered the left. Nunez (who was our only forward who was "just" a striker, rather than being much use on the wings) has been replaced by Ekitike. Our other forward signing should be more versatile than Isak is.
Ekitike is the 'jota replacement' as he can be through the middle or wider left and Isak is the Nunez replacement

Given we looked better without him yesterday, I wouldn't be mad.

He's not looked his best the past few games, hopefully that is only temporary if he stays!

I think if you can get Mainoo and cash, you'd have a good deal on your hands

Puke Edwards taking the Isak sale well lol. Awful Journalist!!
He's had a shocker all summer, hes sayng pif are just as bad as ashley in his latest telegraph peice . Adam Crafton (?) is another one that's had a mare.

Being reported the Martinez deal is dead now, seems he was just a backup.

I like the look of Lammens but it's one hell of a gamble however you look at it, incredible potential can soon disappear when you're stood in goal for Man Utd. 1 year of senior football isn't much.

Luke has lost the plot this summer. I've never seen a journo double down as much as he has.

as long as his hands and wrists are stronger than our current two goalkeepers, its not a gamble.

Sure, but given how Ekitike has started up top, I'd much prefer to see us looking for someone else to do the left/centre role.

To be frank, Ekitike, Isak and Wirtz all smack of opportunistic signings. There's a market opportunity, and we've gone for it. In a way, great - we haven't done that as a club for a long time. But I fear that it's not a great idea.

Signing a outright left forward would hamper Ngumoha's development.

We've been tracking isak since 2016, ekitike has also been on the radar for a few years. Wirtz maybe opportunistic but Slot wanted a number 10, hence the cherki links before the Wirtz stuff broke.

Yeah, just seen the Whitwell tweet. Damn, I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed for the guy… considering the games coming up, maybe Amorim will go with Bayindir for a while longer.

I didn't say that though, I said a left/centre forward. Realistically, I'd actually prefer a right/centre forward unless we're now of the view that Chiesa is good enough.

Signing an outright striker risks hampering Ekitike or alternatively, quite feasibly playing a formation which doesn't really involve wingers, which would hamper Ngumoha rather more.

That is great news. If we can get everyone out the door and get a midfielder in then that would be a great window.

If I am not mistaken we have gotten rid of Hojlund, Rashford, Antony, Garnacho and managed to get some players in.

Would be nice to get Sancho out too but to do all that business in one window is a first for us at least.

We are still incredibly weak on the wingback front but maybe Shaw can push up when Martinez comes back from injury. I guess wingbacks will be number one priority in January/Next summer if Amorim is still here.

Hojlund and Rashford could (and Rashford most likely will) be back next summer. Sancho is gone effectively unless we have a rush of blood to the head and decide to extend his contract by 1 year.

I'm still not sure Lammens will be a good signing. We need a keeper who is proven and confident. Martinez would be pretty high on that list. I have no idea what Villa were after for him though.
