no ones crying fella, as said we'll come in later for him at a lower price or just wait until we get him on a free
I don't think you can blame Glasner too much. He's done an incredible job and wants to build on last season. He's been complaining all summer about the lack of progress the club had made on transfers so to face the prospect of losing Guehi having already lost Eze, with very little coming in, it's easy to understand why he threw his toys out of the pram.Well there is one person crying, Glasner, proper threw his toys out the pram
Well that was the only point I was replying to. To suggest Palace didn't know the money was on the table for Guehi is more than a bit disingenuous when they had an opening bid for broadly what they were willing to accept weeks ago.

If not disingenuous, it's incredibly naive of you then. It was widely reported and accepted that Guehi wanted to join Liverpool, Liverpool made an opening bid of £30m+ (and we all know an opening offer is never the most a side will pay) and Steve Parish told the press that Palace almost certainly have to sell weeks ago. Palace knew the money from his potential sale was there so trying to pretend otherwise is just silly. There is nothing disingenuous. They had a bid that was unacceptable weeks ago. There was no indication Liverpool would make a bid that was broadly acceptable until the weekend.
Liverpool could have raised the bid ages ago but decided against it. They were free to do this.
Like I said, Liverpool fans might think £5m is nothing. To a smaller club like Palace it isn’t.
Possibly and that's the gamble that Palace have took. His actions will have serious implications on the relationship of the manager and player going forward now, not matter how professional Guehi was before this happened I’d imagine it will be very different going forwards, sometimes you just have to suck it up, now palace get less money in the future for him (possibly even nothing if we wait until the end of the season).

I disagree, I think it's incredibly naive to believe that Palace didn't know that they could get £35m out of Liverpool. Furthermore Palace didn't have to complete the signing of his replacement, they simply had to have him/them lined up in preparation for the Guehi deal being completed. It's literally what every club will have done multiple times over the years when they're faced with a player looking to leave. To suggest Palace couldn't do this until the Guehi deal had been agreed is silly. But anyway, I'm sure you will disagree as you did with the Palace/UEFA stuff.

I don’t think this is the case - particularly for clubs that live and die through their transfers, rather than it just being a PSR frustration. Are you genuinely naive enough to not realise that most deals are agreed in principle subject to various pre-requisites before a formal offer is made? Palace will have known for ages that Liverpool were ready to buy as soon as they gave the green light. They’ve had ample time to secure a replacement without needing to commit any additional funds.
Your framing of the whole Guehi situation is at complete odds with reality. Steve Parish admitted weeks ago that if Guehi wouldn't sign a new deal then he'd have to be sold. Palace knew that Guehi was highly likely to leave and it was the preference of the club that he left. It was never a 'just in case' situation, it was a highly likely outcome and any sensible club would have replacements lined up.....

What Steve Parish said is not my opinionNo, it is at odds with your opinion.
