Google Pixel 10 Series (10/10 Pro/10 Pro XL/10 Pro Fold & Pixel Watch 4)

For the sake of science and my own screen brightness obsession...I wanted to compare high brightness mode of the Pixel 8 Pro, 10XL and the Xiaomi 15 ultra.

Not much in it to be fair. All mega bright and plenty bright for use in direction sunlight. All 3 had a torch shoved down their ambient light sensors.

Its possible the S26+ will replaced by the S26 Edge

Look up the S25 edge and see what you think, the weight is really good, 163g against 232g for a 10 XL (6.7" vs 6.8")
Yes, indeed. And the S26 Edge is rumoured to be even thinner still. The weight of the 10XL plus a case isn't great..

I have a mous superthin but not the clear version. The clear version is super slippery the black version I got with the microfibre on the inside is super grippy.

Ideally I'd love to be bareback but my phone drops once or twice a year but that's too much to be able to cope with no case.
Grabbed the blue Bellroy leather with Google store credit. That's more like it... Not gonna flyv out of my hand so easily!

The pink tint is only off axis, otherwise it's fine.
LG OLED TVs have the same pink tint off axis and people are always raving about how good those are

It's hard to notice in normal usage because you tend to be looking directly at your phone and even from the side it's hard to tell unless you have something to compare it to.

Are you using Natural mode or Adaptive mode in display settings? Not camera settings, but the main display settings in the phone's main settings menu.
I found changing this from the default Adaptive mode to Natural removed the over saturation
Yea - the tint isn't an issue for me at all personally - just wanted to confirm it did exist. I think the display looks pretty good in isolation - only notice the colour differences in direct comparison to other devices.

Can you upload some pictures when you get it.

I'm looking at getting the very same one

Photos of Bellroy leather case

It's hard shell internally all the way round. I know some of the cheaper ones have the bottom lip and the button area with just silicone and a lip cut out of both sections... the official case is the same as the Bellroy, in terms of hard shell internal structure too.

Gutted they're not doing the Ruby Red version for the standard size 10 Pro (confirmed by their design team via email last night)!

Many thanks for the pictures, much appreciated.

The case does look nice.

Yes the Ruby Red one would have been nice to have.

I feel like I'm just catching up magsage/pixelsnap accessories - my "normal" ridge wallet has lasted years and still going strong so I picked up this 3 card version for my phone. Now I don't have to keep my metal ridge wallet in a separate pocket for fear of scratching the phone when I'm out for food & beers! What other Pixelsnap accessories would you consider a must have?

I reckon this colour combo is likely not to everyones taste but I like the contrast

Happy to report that replacement XL is almost identical to 10 Pro and I am happy with that. No pink overlay on the whites or at least at acceptable to me level.
Happy that I went for exchange.

Excellent. Happy for you.

Too much money for us to be unhappy with our devices

Got my refund through for the P10 yesterday and ordered P10 Pro, should be here on Friday just hoping it won't come when we go to have a look at nursery for the little one.

Hi people can I get a bit of help please? I got my Pixel 10 pro last week and put a screen protector on straight away out of the box. I registered 3 finger prints on set up all ok.
A few days later the sensor stopped working but and here's the thing it works with banking apps and signing in to other apps. I have tried two different screen protectors and it's still the same. Spoke to Google and was told to do a factory reset so I did. Reset the phone up with no screen protector on and all ok. Again tried with two different ones and won't work again!

Has this happened to anyone else?
What screen protectors are people using that work ok?

Many thanks Matt.

Did you sort this?
just checked mine... imported from backup and no data on timeline ...
will give it time...

Quoting both in case your both having issues.

Yes, after a lot of faffing, it was seemingly pot luck that it worked.

I have timeline data back to 2013, and originally it wasn't syncing at all, or it would sync only a month or two.

I reset the thing countless times, cleared data, turned off timeline and back on, deleted and recreated new backups on the old device several times.

Eventually it worked when I restored and I saw all of my timeline on the new phone.

I would suggest creating a fresh backup on the old device and giving it a while before importing, just incase things are going on in the background or if Google are having issues, as I imagine there are millions of new devices out there currently being set up.

Then try importing the new back up a few hours or a day later.

Don't be afraid to start again, as long as you have the data on the old device you can create a new backup as many times as you like, or just don't delete the old one, but bear in mine if you delete your cloud backup you will need to recreate it from the old device.

If it doesn't work straight away, keep trying, it should work eventually.

Have you gone into fingerprint settings and told it you're using a screen protector?

Has anyone had an issue redeeming 12 months free Google Ai Pro offer ?
I can see it's available but when I click on it, it says it's not available
I am currently subscribed to £7.99 2TB plan sharing with my family and YouTube premium. I do hope it's not disqualifying me from that
