**** The Official Apple September Event thread - Tuesday 9th September 2025 @ 18:00 BST ****

I am still on the S7 stainless steel and tbh I don't see what else they can do with them that would be worthwhile the upgrade.

I am toying with the idea of getting the Ultra this time (if I end up upgrading)
I have 72% battery health with my S7 so will likely upgrade rather than spend £95 on a new battery

Probably similar things again, I dont know why they dont push for a better design. I know apple like their stuff to look a certain way so you can tell what it is but come on.. change it up

Thats true across their entire product line recently.

Do the Apple Watches have a useful battery yet, like one that lasts weeks? My Fenix is getting pretty battered now but I can’t be dealing with something that needs charging every day.

Not imho no, I get about a day and a half out of mine, Series 7 at the mo, I'm itching for an upgrade though, but as with many Apple devices there just doesnt seem to be anything that actually grabs me enough to warrant an upgrade, the Series 10 they made a bit thinner, which, again IMHO, was the wrong way round, they should have made the battery better...

I'll be looking at the Series 11, and the Ultra 3, although I'm likely to go for the 11 if it has more sensors and will do the same things that my Whoop4 does...
The Ultra, I think is a bit big for me, but will evaluate both, I'm also out of the country from the 20th Sept - 13th October so i'll have a couple of weeks post launch to actually make up my mind..

Far from it. Although you have to charge your phone every day, not really that much effort to charge it at the same time.

Theyre different devices too, targeting different markets, at least I think they are based on what each does.

I'm not sure why other manufacturers struggle so much with this. My Fenix has GPS, maps, notifications, NFC etc, and a battery that lasts weeks, even this one getting pretty old. I like just having the watch vibrate as an alarm in the morning rather than a noisy alarm, and the sleep tracking is obviously completely useless if you have to take it off to charge every night!

The charge time isnt an issue tbh, I stick mine on charge in the morning and at night when i'm in the bathroom and the rapid charger side of things does mean I can essentially stick it on charge for half an hour twice a day and get by, my Whoop moans about being offbody though, hence my wanting to replace the Whoop with the Watch 11..

I really hope the new apple tv is announced ive been wanting to get one but keep seeing rumours of a new model. I dont like the current limitation when it comes to ethernet.

Is the 46mm worth the extra over the 42mm? I currently have the 42mm series 3 but it’s hard to compare from photos

I'd quite like them to break the last few years' worth of 'no real updates' but all marketing BS...
