There was one before this? Should I play it first? Have started this one, like what I’ve seen so far. Is it easier than Ori though?
First one is widely considered one of the best metroidvanias ever. Difficulty ranges from standard Metroidvania difficulty up to ballbustingly hard in the optional endgame stuff.

Yeh, i'd probably go with the first one. It's 1st class, and won't feel outdated. Then you have Silksong to look forwards to. Difficulty can spike at times, but if i die it never feels cheap. As mentioned above, some of the endgame stuff can be extremely hard.

There’s no need to play the first one to get into this. I’d highly recommend playing it though, It’s one of the best metroidvanias
