Hi i have put a brend new M.2 drive into a new Gigabyte x870 eagle board which is showing up in the bios ok (latest version) but not in windows ? when i select it in the bios settings to view it the mouse and keyboard freeze ? it is in m.2 slot 1
Any ideas ?

Is it showing in disk management and just not in explorer? Or is it not visible in windows at all?
Not visible in windows at all using disk manager but ill try it in another slot tomorrow

I tried csm in the bios but made no difference and also moved the Nvme drive to another slot and ran self test in bios ok but still wont show up in windows ie nothing in disk management
Ive had a look arround the net for answers but nothing has worked so far
My head is fried with this so im having a rest

Since these drives are very new, it could be some kind of compatibility issue, but sounds suspiciously like DOA.

Edit: these are on the QVL for the motherboard.

I tried csm in the bios but made no difference
CSM should be disabled for these.

also moved the Nvme drive to another slot
You tried it in the PCI-E 5.0 slot first, right?
