4 or 5g phone required mine is 0g probably. Guess I'll be washed away when the tsunami hits. Fine public emergency warning system this is. Reminds of the GP surgery they're keen to push all kinds of apps at you for appointments etc but the average age of the clientele is over 70 who probably don't even own a mobile.

i'm glad I didn't have my hearing aids in at the time, by all accounts it was VERY loud with them.
Previous time it was loud and an odd noise, this time around it was much quieter and a more pleasant alert tone.
Not sure if the noise/volume is device specific..
Wife's didn't go off for some reason.

Was at the wedding on Sunday and we heard the alarms, I was surprised how quiet they were and how little fuss there was, people just got phones out and acknowledged them. I didn't get one because I'm on lebara and it has terrible reception at the best of times let alone the middle of the Cheshire countryside. Didn't interrupt any of the wedding and made no real difference. Saw the alert on my work phone notifications today so it must have been beeping away for a bit to itself.

I wonder what would've happened if the alert had gone off during the actual ceremony.
