Back in November I had a puncture from a screw in our work parking lot. I patched it up with one of those bacon strip things and it's been rock solid since.

That said, I have knobbly-ish tyres and the screw was in one of the fatter parts, so I reckon it had quite a bit of purchase.

Just an FYI, our little Whatsapp group is growing slowly. It's just a place to talk crap and organize the odd meet. We're based in Surrey and the surrounding areas but if anyone fancies joining us for the odd game of soggy biscuit, PM me your phone number.
Have you got many people from Kent in the group?

Been a bit quiet on the bike this year due to the arrival of our second child but hoping next year I’ll be out more!

Lost my **** this afternoon. Standing at front of traffic, the light goes green so I pull off, and the car to my right decides he's not going to let me get away, and puts his foot down, eventually hitting me. I didn't see this coming and I wasn't riding like a dick either, so I was caught completely off guard. When I asked him what he was doing he said something about me pushing in, so I put my bike on its side stand in front of his car, walked up to his window and gave him both barrels. Had it been a mistake, I'd have shrugged it off and that'd be the end of it, but he decided to double down and I lost it. His family were in the car too, his wife sat next to him looking terrified. I apologised to her that she had to see this and told her that her husband is one of the reasons bikers end up in boxes and she cringed from embarassment.

The best part was there was a coppper, at the same light, on the other side of the road. He watched it all unfold and didn't even say a word.

I can count on one hand the amount of times I've properly lost my cool in my life, never mind whilst riding, and this was one of them. There's just absolutely no need for it. Had he waited literally one or two seconds, I would've filtered through traffic and been off in to the sunset, but this guy decided he wanted to be a dick about it.

What really ****** me off is that I've had a few of these, but usually from lack of awareness of inattentive people. I will then say calmly to please pay attention more as they could put me in an ambulance, and every time it's been well received, but this guy really pushed the wrong button, so all I've done is contributed to the "bikers are aggressive arse holes" stereotype

Can understand not taking bike out in snow and ice. I've come off pushbike and just slow speed and minimal damage...compared to motorbike..but not riding in the rain?

Lol.
I've done my dues, riding for 20 years, commuting for probably 15 years of those, rain, snow, and with the metalwork holding me together I have 0 interest anymore having to ride in the rain if I don't have to. :p

Greetings! After 28 years of exclusively riding dual sport bikes I finally gave in to a bargain deal from my father-in-law and now own this. My 990 Adventure is resting for now and will at last receive some much needed TLC while the beemer serves dailyt commuting duty.
It's a 2014 but my FiL only managed to put 2400mi on it from new.
