**** The Official Apple September Event thread - Tuesday 9th September 2025 @ 18:00 BST ****

So haven't watched it yet, but the 11 and U3 are on the website now..
The 11 is the same as the 10, but they've padded out the 'charge' time part on the website, and apparently now 'snorkling' is a seperate thing to swimming, so thats a sales worthy feature, some of the sustainability/recycling info has changed...

The only good thing is the battery life is increasing, but, that could just be software optimisation rather than actual improvements...

Thoroughly underwhelming...

I thought the whole event was a bit flat and underwhelming this year. There was nothing that made me want to upgrade. Honestly I would only be getting something if, for example, my watch or AirPods failed and needed replaced.

Best thing for me from this event is the pro 3 AirPods, look to have some cool features, might be tempted to get them for a Christmas present to myself.

For all those disappointed, what groundbreaking revelations were you expecting exactly? Because back when I actually used to have iPhones and stuff it seemed that every year it was introducing a feature Android already had but whipping it up as something unique, and minor improvements to a camera.

AirPods look good
17P looks good - orange is interesting and punchy

I may upgrade my 15p to that, looks like a decent upgrade.

The air as expected is a bit of a joke in my opinion, argue as much as you want but Apple is well aware of how limited its battery life is going to be. Hence the “slim” battery pack that completely kills the point of that slim phone in the first place lol. “All day battery life” is something I can see being true for someone using say 3-4hrs of SOT a day hut as the battery capacity/health drops, that will become annoying, add the fact that many people now own phones for 2-3 years before swapping and I think you’ll be back to battery anxiety.

Having a look at the comparison tool… man Apple really set the bar with the 13 Pro Max

I was thinking of trying the Air or just go with the regular 17 as it now has 120hz… but now I’m tempted to keep hold of the 13PM again

I’m sticking with my 15pro this year, want a new iPad more.

Disappointed theres no 17 plus as now its (regular 17) 120hz that is absolutely fine for me, though I understand the plus wasnt a great seller and presumably replaced by the air.

I am wondering if I should downsize to a regular 17 (size wise) from a 13PM or perhaps try and get a good deal on a clearance 16 pro max

I said I probably wasn't.

But do I?
