Borderlands 4 (2025)

Performance great*, 3440x1440, everything maxed (except motion blur), FG, DLSS performance, locked at 97 fps (100FPS monitor limit), 4090 twiddling its thumbs at 1300Mhz and 39c.

There is no RT toggle, so I'm guessing software lumen, hope HWRT is put in sooner rather than later, if correct.

*That's before the day one patch, BTW.

Barely getting 50 fps @4k with my 4080 and DLLS Quality, great optimization :/
Surely you should get more than that if I'm hitting 132fps with everything on max and DLSS on DLAA @3440x1440. Mind you, having said that, MFG does seem to make an enormous difference in the games I've used it in so far

Now the game won't launch post D1 patch, lol.

Says Steam must be running, even though I'm launching it through steam! :p

All good now after verifying files.

Getting slaughtered on Steam reviews due to optimisation.

Will wait until the beta testing is done before purchasing...
Is that a case of bad optimisation or another case of people not reading the specs? Do they say what their specs are, because 132fps on mine with everything on max is pretty decent I thought.

Fantastic performance here on a 12700K @ 5/4 Ghz and a 4090.

Zero stutter as well so far.

4K - Medium Preset. FSR Quality. No motion blur, head bob and screen shake disabled. FOV maxed and mouse speed 0.55. Ahhh now I can play! Getting 90-100FPS. 6900XT still holding on baby! :D

HDR also quite nice from the brief play this evening.

EDIT: FYI 4K at Very High for me was like 15FPS lol.

EDIT2: The sound options are also quite nice to see. With Tiny Tina's Wonderland I struggled sometime with the dialogue. Not sure why. It just always seemed too quiet vs everything else. I've now gone with Balanced and also the General Tinnitus option. Working well. Nice to see options though for colour blindness, hearing and also motion sickness. And yet some games come out and you can't even alter the FOV. lol

Seeing a lot of "runs great on my system" followed by a 1k halo tier gpu and dlss. It should be getting those frame rates with those gpus without dlss, it looks nowhere near good enough to demand that performance.

Compare how it looks and runs to borderlands 3.

Thats just how gaming is now and its only going to get more and more that way, the days of not using DLSS or some equivalent are gone, at this moment in time its either get on board with that and get a GPU capable of something akin to it or give up gaming on new titles. The price of my GPU was a tiny price to pay for my main hobby in life tbh

runs about 60 fps on my system, using upscaling but no framegen as that gives me a bit of input lag.

7800x3d
radeon 7800xt
32 gig ram
installed on a nvme drive

using tsr at moment as it gives a wee bit higher fps over fsr.

still tinkering about a bit with the settings and got the latest drivers and the day one patch.
