Borderlands 4 (2025)

Just gone past 200,000 concurrent on Steam, thats higher than any previous Borderlands title, pretty decent figures considering that some are experiencing performance issues.

THE GAMEPLAY IS AWESOME CEPT FOR THE HEALTH MECHANIC THING YAY IM D;RUNK AND SHOUTY :p

edit:
still enjoying it its a good game and enjoying it more than 3, the map is mental i ran around to a point of interest and encountered a mad bint going on about her beasts getting abducted then had to follow a space ship about and not a main quest :P

seems to be open world but border lands :D

the last game i played that was open world was dragons dogma 2 on the same engine, i think they nailed it tbh but it could do with some optimisation.

dd2 runs like crap

I thought DD2 was RE Engine? This is UE5, which is also not fantastic for open worlds usually, but is at least better than RE Engine.

I thought the repkits were single use only, but they aren't, doh.

So not as bad as i thought, now I can get rid of the excess.

Looks like this game is triggering the Intel 13th/14th gen silicon degradation issue something rotten. UE5 games have always been known for that, but this one looks like it might be pretty severe.

Glad I've got a 12th gen!

As per my post in the CPU section - I don't think the crashes are 13/14th gen related but just the game being **** - loads of people also seeing similar crashes with AMD CPUs, etc.

Nothing wrong with the game my end, runs perfectly fine, zero stutter, zero crashes.

I've not played it myself so dunno, but there are quite a few people complaining about crashes with the game, may as Tetras alluded to in the other thread related to how many people's PCs are actually stable and the game being demanding on hardware.

Lots of crashes on AMD CPUs, but those are in gameplay. The Intel crashes seem to be during shader compilation. That's always been the big trigger for the silicon degradation issue.
