I've not completed a game in a while, so many are left unfinished, I just didn't have the muster to press on, I think I actually prefer more bitesize games these days. I think the last game was The Rise of the Golden Idol, which is a sequel to The case of the Golden Idol. If you really like puzzle games that are based around deduction (logically ruling things out until you have one remaining result) then these are super well made puzzle games, I can't explain the satisfaction I get when I've stared at a puzzle screen for ages and finally worked out what happened. Building a series of events, a timeline, from usually a moment frozen in time, working out who did what and what everyones motivations were, it's so good. Has that same kick that The Obra Din had.
I might just be depressed or something but I've been disappointed by so many games lately, it's actually really hard to find something I enjoy moment to moment. We summited in peak a few times, that was awesome. I think at 42 I've finally got bored shooting things. I'll make time to 100% things like the Talos Principle II though, for whatever reason my love for puzzle games never fades.
*edit* Oh and I'd say the Golden idol games are an easy 8/10, Peak is a good 9/10 if you have friends to coop with and can get a good blend of taking it seriously to get to the top, and being a bit silly. Coop games are hit and miss depending on who you play with. Blowing the trombone at your friend as they fall to their death screaming over comms is hilarious, frisbeeing them in the face is also a laugh. Getting past the final leg is so rewarding, the final climb is totally crazy.
