Took the free hour to:
Charge one car from the wallbox
Charge the other with a granny plug
Put the tumble drier on
Put some washing on
Put the dishwasher on
Boil the kettle (didn’t use it)
See if I can beat the record from last time…
No home battery or 3 phase! If I’d thought about it, I could’ve put on the immersion heater and the treadmill too!
So what the hell did you have on? I only get 52p for an hour and that's me with car on and some stuff in kitchen
No i don't let the kettle boil for no reason.![]()
It's not really a 25p/kwh 'saving' though is it, your normal EV charging rate will be 7p.
This is why I don't bother at this time of year as I have too much solar which is worth 15p/kwh to get through before I can take anything from the grid where I'd only really be saving 7p.
Its not pedantic, its just realityIf you want to get pedantic then yes, but those are the figures they put back into my account so it’ll do me.
LOL, that was exactly what I was thinking before I scrolled down and revealed your post. Its not pedantic, its just reality![]()
