Has anyone ever used the Bennetts Bike- Bike Social membership? It comes free with their insurance, and I never accessed it in the last year so not sure what am I missing.
I dipped my toe in last year but didn't see any benefit. It just seemed like an opportunity for more advertising, and then Hastings offered me the same insurance for half the cost...

I was with Bennetts for a while before I sold my 650, the bike social thing has some interesting articles but otherwise, meh, as said just advertising.

Thank you guys! I got the renewal offer from Bennetts which was better than the comparison sites. They did exclude Pillion cover and provided a quote of £306. I did an online chat with them and got the pillion cover added for £330.50 (down from £686 last year). That is for 2 years on DAS licence plus 1 year NCB. Bike is a 1997 Honda Blackbird.

I asked them to exclude RAC breakdown cover but was told if I do that the quoted price goes up lol. So I am double booked on RAC, Person cover and via Bennetts.

I am happy with the price. Hopefully it goes down more next year. Cheers! :)

ok I'll see what happens when I connect my phone I plugged into 1A USB charger and that was fast enough. It states "Quick Charge 2.0 USB Socket" in the scooter manual
If it's legitimately a Quick Charge 2.0 socket it should give you 18W and charge your phone no problem. Just make sure the cable is decent too; there are so many crummy cheap USB-C cables out there and many will cause the charge to drop back to a "safe" 5V 1A

I had a tank bag with a power bank inside, 1m cable running out of it to the phone which was mounted on a Chinese version of ram mount.

Give that bike a very detailed look-over before riding. That grease etc measns they haven't taken it for a test ride which means there could be loose bolts etc. I've heard horror stories of bits falling off new bikes.

My 2024 ZX10R went into the dealers on Tuesday for them to find out why 2nd gear is so noisy.
They’ve pulled the box and can’t find anything wrong despite acknowledging there is definitely a noise (they recorded the noise), so are a bit stuck as Kawasaki won’t pay for a repair for a fault they can’t find.
I’m 90% sure what the problem is, and have told them, so they’re looking into it further.
I suggested I P/X the bike in with them, but also reminded them that they won’t be able to sell the bike with the gearbox noise if they don’t sort it out.
I’ve heard nothing from them since Tuesday
