Borderlands 4 (2025)

aye randy was was like wtf with the people on twitter and then started handing out codes one even gave him a death threat..... randy had the guys full message and email address up in the quote,, sheesh its only a game lol

Completed main story as a co-op on HARD really enjoyed the story, took us about 25hours now the real game can start and get harder difficultly :D

I think its going to be quite some time before we finish the main story, we're trying to 100% each area as we go (so do all side quests, uncover all ? Locations, get all collectibles, do all POI in each area, before we move onto the next area), so as a result, we're 22 hours played and only just reached the town where you get the hoverbike thing. So barely 10% of the main story done yet :)

Just over 30% through at the moment. Like you @Tombstone I started off trying to clear the areas before moving on. However, I was finding that it felt like I was countering the games natural pacing, like I was dragging my heals. The game wants me to move faster explore other areas. Just doing side missions drags you off deep into later game areas. I've stopped actively trying to clear areas and just let the games natural pacing take over. after completing a main story mission I'll snap up nearby outposts/missions/collectables etc. Likewise, if for whatever reason I find myself another area for something other than a mission I'll grab opportune activities nearby.

Yup, that's the way I'm doing it, too. At this rate I'm going to get 100+ hrs out of the game. Currently going through a series of side missions involving Topper the legless Scottish Ripper.

Did anybody experience any issues last night? i was playing around 7pm was running smooth around 300fps , by 8pm it got extremely sluggish was struggling to get 60 fps. Also upon checking settings seemed like the game had tried to make some adjustments and dropped the quality really low as i play on badass at 1440p.

I closed the game and reopened changed the settings again and was fine was very odd.

I did enter a new area i had not previously been too at the time could be that? bug?

No. But before each crash ( I've had 7 now ) performance begins to feel sluggish and I note that my controller / mouse inputs start ghosting. Feels like a memory leak of some sorts. But then I can have periods where I play for a couple of hours with no issues.

Some of the side quests are SO good, plus you even get quite a few references to previous BL titles , characters and events in some of the side missions :)

I think we've just been lucky, still none of us has had a crash yet. Mind you, I'm nearly always lucky with these sorts of things, almost never get performance issues or crashes on games. I must have fallen into the gamers lucky potion cauldron as a baby :)

You know, when I go into a house in BL4, and see the cooker, tables, chairs, shelves, pictures on the walls etc...it really makes me want a Borderlands base building crafting survival game.
