——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

I loved the beta and worked great on my pc (7800xt). Friends with older pcs seemed to play it very well too, so seems to be pretty good out of the bag, especially for a beta.

Yeah I watched JackFrags video earlier on the latest updates to the labs build.
Holy **** its looking so freaking good!!!
Mirak and firestorm looking good so far.

That sledgehammer is turbo OP though, two hits to flatten a building section...

Literally was just coming in to post that, looks great.

Seen another video where someone had a sniper rifle an assault rifle and a grenade launcher. This open weapons thing is dumb, just let's you be tooled up for every scenario.

Shame they made Firestorm smaller. If they are going to redo a map but make it smaller why not just pick a map that was smaller in the first place?

Also sledgehammer seems very op. One hit and smash through a wall or the floor. Two hits building falls down. Sprinting and smashing through a wall just looked like when you used to spring and bash though a door. What's the point of doors this time round :-p

I'm not against having a more open weapons selection but having both a sniper rifle and assault rifle at the same time seems dumb in a game like this. If you are playing as a recon class and want a more rounded firepower approach then IMO the correct approach to that is to sacrifice an equipment slot for a PDW or carbine.

Open weapons does seem very stupid, still lcan't see a valid reason for it other than “we'll sell more weapon skins". I've not seen that video but the leaked video from Firestorm with the engineer and support up the tower sniping, endless supply of ammo and health, an RPG and anti-air launcher and multiple deployable shields....and David Surlands response to everyone saying this is why open class is a bad idea was someone along the lines of "well you can burn them with the button at the bottom of the tower".
Well what about on every other map!

Basically like BF4 did it, DMR, shotguns and either PDW or Carbine for all classes. Allows me recon to play more aggressive, the other classes to engage at longer ranges but doesn't overtake the dedicated classes for the specific roles.

The current BF6 version of classes just seems like the Devs don't know what they are doing and are very naive to all the very over powered load outs they are allowing to be created. That or big daddy EA are saying "sell more skins!"

I was meaning BF4 like but if in BF6 they wanted to have more rounded options then the ability to change out an equipment slot for an extra, lower tier, weapon i.e. my normal Recon loadout in BF4 would be 338 Recon, G18, Radio Beacon, T-UGS - but if I wanted to go more offensive without giving up the sniper rifle then maybe the option of switching out the T-UGS for a PDW (something you can't do in BF4).

I find that with a lot of developers these days - in my opinion it is a mixture of people doing it as a career and not a passion so not invested in it and/or trying to hit the trends and patterns from a mixture of input from so called pro-gamers and their numbers data and end up with something ultimately which is just very very meh and uninteresting, or very poorly balanced [overpowered].

Mind you BF4 isn't the greatest in this respect - for example a lot of the attachments are actually pretty useless and/or have hidden penalties.

Just logged into battlefield labs and it's given me access to battle royale for 4 hours.
How does it look with the new GFX options? How much Vram does it use at the top setting? Trying to work out if my 3080 can manage at 1440p. Also are the DLSS options fixed yet?

Agreed, I'd even draw the line at the carbine. Short barrel SMG or bullpup, CQ only.
