I haven't watched the vid but isn't that the point? The boss's tactics are nullifying your best player. How many games you won when he's had a stinker? Probably none I'd guess.
I think he's not as effective because the other players are poor and perhaps the new players haven't settled.

I was thinking more about people saying he's the issue defensively.

It does all point to players not suited to the system, or players just not good/sharp enough tactically to play it.

Also my point was why single out Bruno, I known he's likely our best player but he's also not out worst.

"Likely our best player but he's also not our worst"

Make that make sense :)

Out best player generally but not the weakest player in the current system, he's let down by the midfield and defence

What do you mean hes let down by the midfield, he is part of the midfield. Bruno likes a free role, in that video you can see his heatmap, you can see hes all over the pitch. If hes all over the pitch then he leaves the lone midfielder exposed and leaves gaping hole in the midfield, its no surprise its so easy to over run the center and the defence

One of the defenders should step up into midfield, apparently.

I don't claim to be a tactician.

I don't know why he doesn't just play Casemiro and Ugarte as holding midfielders (with Ugarte being a bit more aggressive) and Bruno as a traditional No.8/10 ahead of them. Not rocket science.

This will still work if he refuses to change formation, just play Bruno with Mbeumo behind Sesko. The problem arises when Cunha is fit, but he could play at striker if Sesko is taking time to settle in.

First priority should be to shore up the midfield and defence which will bring stability to the team. All of these things shouldn't be this complicated, but Amorim is creating these additional problems.

Ultimately Dorgu often becomes our primary attacking outlet, and his final ball is poor as he's not very good.

Asking Ugarte to be more aggressive is a red rag to a bull. He'd be sent off all the time!

Safegate would galvanise the squad
What league football experience do you base that on?

Why have no other teams desperate for stability or success snapped him up? When did he last manage in the EPL? In a league?

People are just scared of how together their squad would be with him. Just how strong and stable.

Either that or his domestic managerial record is ***** and his international record is up for debate in light of the quality of player we have and how turgid most of the football was that he played to get us to the late stages of competitions.

Is this because Casemiro has lost his legs and would be a liability?

I think the problem is they bought the wrong player in Ugarte (and Casemrio too but that was ages ago now).

I think United missed a trick not appointing SG last season, they badly needed a steady the ship type of manager.

Like SG or not, he took over a rock bottom England squad and got them playing solidly, Man U instead went for a flair manager and if anything he’s done even worse than ETH.

He also relegated the only team he ever managed in the premier league....

And has never managed in the league again. Since 2009!

Man United are not the England International team. It's a stupid comparison.

I ask again, if he's so good (based on what?) why isn't he in demand?

That was 16 years ago, besides Kompany got relegated by Burnley then next season won the title at Bayern.

I typed out a reply but I think it that's your way of thinking it's best not to bother replying.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
