So I get told at 1pm it'll be 3.30-4.30, then updated at 2.30 to say it *might be* by 6.30pm.

EE esim went over fine, phone to phone transfer for me (via WiFi). Just the banking apps to sort out.

Always worked for me on various networks!I won't be able to transfer my esim over today, because by the time the phone eventually gets to me, my provider will have closed for the day and I need to get in touch with them to do it when I have both phones in front of me.![]()

My watch took a few tries as well, I must say the EE support chap was very patient on the phone before he was able to start the watch plan transfer.Yep, no issues here, also on EE and the phone-to-phone transfer. Banking apps quick to authenticate again.
The only issue I had was the Watch app took a couple of goes to re-pair with my Apple Watch, which was taken from Find My when the old phone offered to delete all data and reset itself ready for sale. I must say, despite the hiccup, the transfer process is fantastic, especially offering to erase the old phone properly including removing it from Find My.
