*** The Official iPhone 17 thread (it has new camera bumps and everything!) ***

Will wait outside. Thanks for letting us know, could we have a live tracking :)

30min wait in the queue (it went out into the street then round the corner down Hanover St), then served pretty quickly. They didn't bother checking for ID though.

My 3.30-4.30 delivery slot updated with "sorry, your DPD driver has been delayed; we still aim to get to you today before 06.30pm"

So I get told at 1pm it'll be 3.30-4.30, then updated at 2.30 to say it *might be* by 6.30pm. :(

I'm now joining the sweepstake for latest delivered release day phone.

Probably stuck in a queue at CEX with other delivery drivers

Has anyone had issues setting up there phone?

It wont allow me to sign in, Even though my password is correct - Even get the same error if I type rubbish in!

No issues setting the phone up, but I did had an odd one where it wouldn't give me the option to purchase Apple care on the phone itself. I ended up having do it through a browser on my pc

What a disappointment of a day it’s ended up being.

Between the Switch 2 and this I think it will be the last time I do an online delivery and will go the in store/pickup route.

a picture of my iphone17 pro in deep blue that just arrived

blue-17pro.jpg

The blue of the square where the apple logo is, looks to me to be the same blue of the whole body of my iphone15 pro

Easy for me.

EE esim went over fine, phone to phone transfer for me (via WiFi). Just the banking apps to sort out.
Yep, no issues here, also on EE and the phone-to-phone transfer. Banking apps quick to authenticate again.

The only issue I had was the Watch app took a couple of goes to re-pair with my Apple Watch, which was taken from Find My when the old phone offered to delete all data and reset itself ready for sale. I must say, despite the hiccup, the transfer process is fantastic, especially offering to erase the old phone properly including removing it from Find My.

I won't be able to transfer my esim over today, because by the time the phone eventually gets to me, my provider will have closed for the day and I need to get in touch with them to do it when I have both phones in front of me.

You can't do "Add eSIM" > "Transfer from iPhone"? Always worked for me on various networks!

My watch took a few tries as well, I must say the EE support chap was very patient on the phone before he was able to start the watch plan transfer.

Orange actually is pretty nice in the flesh. Happy. And the smaller size is such a relief on my hands after using the max for 3 years.

Setup as new. The only way.
