Show Us Your Motors!

Lovely day at the beach today and an epic drive back via Lucca on some awesome race track style roads and driven like I was on a track day, sensational!

Then slowed down to admire the truly incredible scenery.

Near as dammit 30c today so epic beach weather and lovely chilled drive home.

Not so many pictures today but really glorious roads today and Italian hospitality absolute top level.

Could find nowhere to park as crazy parking the small town we visited today on coast and decided to pull into multi storey which was a mistake as crazy tight for a car with no lock.

Owner came out rescued us and said I give you private parking because McLaren bellissimo:

We return 3-4hr later and he refused to take any money and proceeded to step in road stop traffic and let us out. Incredible!

Stopped at services and a crowd formed let a few sit in it and made their day and then filled up and attendant was speaking in Italian to me could make out he was saying very low, scrapes, beautiful and intrigued by top exit exhaust.

Italy has been a blast not necessarily the best roads for a supercar as at times I was wishing I was in my Clio 172 cup on some of the almost single lane hairpin switch back roads, but at times it’s been a blast. The food, the people’s love for supercars and the breath taking scenery and epic weather has made it.

Tomorrow we head back for France through the Alps which will be some epic roads.

New wheel.
My one complaint with the Mustang was the steering wheel. The leather is glove leather and is way too shiny for my liking. I also found it too thin.

Enter this one. Custom made for me by a lovely man in China. Still retains heating and has a lovely feel in the hand. Thicker than stock (it actually looks thicker than it is in the picture for some reason).
I tried to get one made like this in the UK but all the usual places said they couldn't do a flat bottom or contours if I wanted to keep the heating - something I wasn't willing to sacrifice.

Nothing exciting. I was working on my Dad's car today so I managed to get mine washed and waxed after finishing his. First time using MOTHERS Brazilian carnauba cleaner wax and it was great. Apply with damp applicator, buffed off fine, even in the sun. No dust.

Driving through the Alps yesterday, going over mountains incredible views but at times the roads were somewhat tedious. Once on French A roads those flowed much better and were properly fast. As the day came to end close to our stop the storms hit, some epic thunder in the mountains, sat in hot tub in the rain listening to thunder, quite relaxing.
