My friend Fruitbat is enjoying the MiG-29 He says it flys like an overpowered WW2 fighter. I think the Mirage still works. The DCS download is now getting rather large if you have a lot of maps.

Tempted to buy it, but I need to learn my other modules first. I reinstalled the game with only the f-16 so I can learn it fully. Syria is now 70 GB!

I have far too many planes and maps.Flaming Cliffs3, A-10, F-14 F-16 F-18 AH-64 plus WW2 stuff. I have decided to go back to the A-10C and use virtual kneeboard with the relevant pages from Chucks Guide to help me get a grip on things.
Good luck, I know I need it.

A-10C is nice plane i can use the weapons ok but I never learnt the how to start it up or anything else. I have A-10C, F-4, F-16, Mig-21, Mirage 2000C, Mi-24, KA-50 and few FC3 planbes alone with Syria and Persian.
I plan to fly the F-16 seeing that im getting back into Falcon BMS and know the plane quiet well, thats a great idea are creating your own kneeboard profiles then?

I don't fly enough to warrant buying modules, so I'm just running FC2024 or whatever its called.

There are quite a few very good modules that are free as mods, the UH60 just got a new release is supposed to be excellent, there's the A4 if you want a ground attack jet, the hercules. Lots to choose from :)
it's always worth buying just one full fidelity module, pick you're fav plane and go with that one, there's loads of sales so most can be had faily cheaply.

I'd probably get to fly once if I had a model for 2 weeks..
I can understand that, and I think the Flaming Cliffs ones you already have are perfect for that type of pick up and play flying.
You still get good quality flight models, just not the clicky-clicky cockpits and depths of some systems.
I really like flying the Frogfoot (Su25) from flaming cliffs

A lot of Flaming Cliff aircraft have the advance flight model so when you get use to say the A-10A you could convert to the A-10C or the MiG29 to the full fat version so you can get familiar with the cockpit, HUD etc.

SU-25a is one of my favourite planes, I wish they made full fedlity version.
I keep taking breaks and coming back, but it seems not much has changed..

Can anyone recommend a good mission generator? While i wait for never ending development of the so called dynamic campaign...

For mission generation, I think both Briefing Room and Liberation / Retribution (same but different) get good reviews, but I haven't tried either in years.

There are lots of PVE dynamic campaign servers to try too, such as Flashpoint Levant, 4YA, or Through the Inferno.
I believe that Greyflag currently has the most in depth to the campaign.

If you want to run your own campaign, I think Pretense was great, but I've not tried it for a few DCS updates and I know Dzsekeb has stopped updating it. However others have picked it up and made derivatives.

Feel free to jump on LittleWars for a no pressure "do your own thing" server.
It's running as a hex based ground war campaign. It won't give you a specific mission, rather you make up your own missions based on the game-state.
Typically I do missions like runway denial, convoy BAI, CAP, or deep strike on a power plant, but sometimes I just jump on for 20 mins to practice something, or maybe reposition/repair a SAM site using a chopper.
Not required, but it does benefit from having Combined Arms module, so I'd suggest getting the 2-week trial for that.
