Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

I just went and finished it. Just too many other games to play to drag this one on further.

Took me 25 in game hours to complete. Really enjoyed it. Will give it 8.5/10. Well worth the £20 i got it for.

You mean you didn't "get it 'free' in Gamepass" with a paid subscription.

Probably going to be my GOTY but it's admittedly contentious, if I couldn't have applied one or two mods I think it'd have wound me up enough to quit. I'd not have fled to leave it a bad review as it would have been a me issue, but good god it was rough at times. I recommended said mods multiple times in this thread also, for good reason to be fair because I don't want to die of old age before finishing. I can do "difficult" TB but real time or semi real time wrecks me now.

Now get back to FF7R and do your best to avoid any side content that seems too silly!

Just finished the story.

Honestly one of, if not the best game(s) i have ever played.

A true work of art, a brilliant story/script, unfathomably beautiful soundtrack and genuinely fun to play.

Also, I didn’t encounter one bug, crash or frame rate slowdown in the entire game.

if there was ever a perfect example of how to make a single player game, this is it. It has honestly put most of the **** Ive played (well, started to play..) recently to shame.


Going to mention the soundtrack again as well because.....wow.

I enjoyed it - finished the story (63 hrs !) but found I had no interst in doing any of the endgame stuff - too much like hard work.

Yeah. I can't see myself revisiting this one to do end gane content. Once story smfinished I was done. I have so many other games I would like to revisit before I would even consider it. I can't even keep up with new games I want to play as it is.

It got snubbed for both PC and Console GOTY(still in the running for combined one, as the list has not been announced) But I am getting feelings like this might be gaming's version of Shawshank..
