Yeah we were poor against Liverpool and City but Liverpool were just as poor against us. Pulis comments are ridiculous to be honest.I think everyone would take their version of “scraped a few results” over Paella Pulis football.
Arsenal are set piece specialists, play defensively and love a long throw into the "mixer"...its very Stokey.Yeah we were poor against Liverpool and City but Liverpool were just as poor against us. Pulis comments are ridiculous to be honest.
We aren't great at set pieces for quite a while. Have played no more defensive than our opposition and did 3 long throws today..... Not one single team this season has played consistent attacking attractive football.Arsenal are set piece specialists, play defensively and love a long throw into the "mixer"...its very Stokey.
Its something that always baffles me about Arteta, the current Arsenal squad is probably one of, if not the, best overall squad in the league, their bench at times is insane, yet it always seems like , to borrow a Gary Neville phrase, they play too often with the handbrake on. I actually think that the weakest 3rd of the City team is their defence (keeper withstanding) and that if you have a go at City they are vulnerable. Will be interesting to see what happens when the Liverpool v City game comes round, my money is on a Liverpool win purely because of the way that Liverpool will go at them. It's not the fact that Arsenal try to score from set-plays that's the issue, it's the fact that from open play you're far too defensive and don't create the volume or quality of chances that the sides they're competing with do.
Nonsense - He's played 282 minutes (just over 3 full games in terms of minutes) so far for United after missing pre-season with them. He's just turned 22.
Withdrawn yesterday for tactical reasons.
It's just his nature. He knows that by being more adventurous they will lose some of their defensive stability and he doesn't want to do that. He believes that if they can keep things tight at the back, the law of averages means they'll win more often than not, either from a set-play or simply having better players than most of the sides they'll come up against. It's the same tactic as Mourinho from 20 years ago, the key difference is the sides Arsenal are facing are better. And by that I don't just mean your Liverpool's or City's but the rest of the League as a whole. There's very few outright bad sides in the PL these days. When Chelsea would go 1-0 up under Mourinho it was game over, not just because Chelsea were so good defensively but because all but 4-5 sides were pretty rubbish. Almost every PL side these days has enough attacking quality to get a goal and cause even the best sides problems. Its something that always baffles me about Arteta, the current Arsenal squad is probably one of, if not the, best overall squad in the league, their bench at times is insane, yet it always seems like , to borrow a Gary Neville phrase, they play too often with the handbrake on. throw ins and corners are opportunities to score why not exploit them
Amazes me people moan about it, its a way to take an advantage over the opposition i couldnt care less how we win or get a result
And then Arteta subs another centre back on to see out the final moments.…..but Martinelli decides to knee slide towards the fans because they got a draw at home?

I'm not sure what your point is? You didn't equalise until midway through stoppage time and the game didn't restart until 94mins.How long was on the clock when he got subbed in
A couple of minutes before the final whistle, and a good minute before the free kick was awarded. The sub wasn't in response to man city getting a freekick? How long was on the clock when he got subbed in
Pereira just signed a new 3 year deal hasn't he, odd decision.Wolves are in a right mess. I bet their fans would love a Nuno return.
