Bit by a spider!. (in the UK)

Autumn time tends to see the large brown house spiders looking for a mate.

I had one that was on the bedroom floor that the Mrs wanted me to move. Given the size I figured the pint glass over the top would do (leg spread just fit). It reared up when I approached it and I could hear 'chink' sounds of its fangs hitting the glass. Some card underneath and out of the window..

I wear gloves when moving things in the garage. I removes some slabs and found some rather large black false widow spiders with the same spindly legs and large body etc. I won't post the images or people will end up triggered.

Keep an eye on it - my dad was bitten by a spider when gardening and after initially dying down a bit it started radiating outwards and getting concerning (possibly infected due to doing gardening at the time rather than the venom) and had to have medical treatment to prevent it turning serious.

Had this in the garden under a piece of decaying wood a few year ago. I think its a female black lace-weaver spider, I read they can leave a painful bite, nausea lasting 3 days.
