Borderlands 4 (2025)

Hit 50 last night, we ended up running around doing Vile Bounties on UVH1 from level 38 - 50, quickest way we found to level after finishing main story.

Going to respec tonight and then start farming level 50 gear / uvh challenges.

Finished it over the weekend and tried out a bleed build (from YouTube) which was so OP I had to respec skills to what I previously had.

Yeah, for all the guides on builds for "one shotting bosses", it's actually not fun playing that way, especially if you're in a group and just killing everything easily.

Obviously there are some very broken builds and I expect a good round of nerfs and rebalances sometime relatively soon.

Of course that's an ongoing thing and eventually they just give up trying to nerf and rebalance, like they did in BL3 where my Mayhem 11 Zane build just melts everything so easily that it's actually boring.

And that's why I never YouTube best builds or guides for any game I play.

I just go with what I like, good or bad, and enjoy the game.

I tend to refer to them early on for skill tree guidance when I don't have a clue where to put things.

Later in the game the the "endgame" type builds all tend to depend on having just the right legendaries which makes them of limited use unless you're farming like a madman.

I do actually wonder how some of these Youtubers have managed to find so many "good roll" legendaries in such a short space of time. I appreciate they're spending every waking hour playing it but it's only been out for 13 days and they all seem to have full level 50 builds full of the best legendaries for all four characters.
It's also not just about spending all your time farming, it's how long it takes to experiment and work out the best skill tree interactions and so forth.

There’s mods that drop 100% legendaries and lots of them on every kill.
I tried that on BL3 and it got boring real quick being so OP.

I'm 30 hours in. Think I've had 1 legendary drop. I'm around level 23 now. Can't quite remember. Sick of opening chests and getting just "uncommon" items. Urgh.

Like I said before in this thread, do a few Splashzone runs for legendarys.

Or not, your choice. :)

I'm on 33 hours played, havent even done a vault yet, still only in the 2nd area, so have only done maybe 20% of the map, I've had 3 legendaries drop and all 3 of those dropped during side quests.

I've been doing all the side quests too. Why does BL4 hate me so much lol.

Sorry I missed that. N00b alert what are splash zone runs? Please don't hate me haha.

You remember early on when you just received the glide ability and you had to cross a ravine (where the first shops are)?

You entered through a gate and there was a badass psycho (named Splashrun) to conquer.

Go back to the crossing with shops, and you are able to buy a rerun with the psycho.

First rerun I got three legendarys, one of which was a cracking shield that I used from 14 to 19.

Will give it a go cheers!

You can go back and re-run him whenever you like and get drops of your level.

The legendary (armour) shield is so good, I went back last night and got a L27 version.

The legendary grenades he drops are pretty good, too.

The legendary shotgun is just a bit too fiddly to use efficiently, IMHO.
