Alien TV series (Alien Earth) : 2025

Multi-tasking - I often watch TV shows while doing other stuff like coding, unless they are really interesting.
But then you aren't really watching the show...

I honestly can't take opinions of people seriously who are scrolling through a phone or doing something else whilst a show is on.

Netflix is even dumbing down movies and TV because of peoples multi-screen habits.

Yep. Imagine watching something you dislike for 8 hours.

Clearly people are very bored in their personal lives.

It depends. How do you really know if you like something without giving it a proper chance? A few episodes or clips don’t always reflect the whole series. Take Andor season 2, for example. I could’ve quit after the first couple of slow episodes, but it eventually picked up.

Sure, there are hate watchers glued to the show with one eye and CriticalStinker’s latest video with the other, but plenty of people stick with it out of hope that it’ll get better.

I get you need to give a show a chance, but there are some folk out there who didnt like episode 1, didnt like episode 2, didnt like episode 3, didnt like episode 4, by then you've watched 4 hours, 50% of the entire show and not liked any of the episodes, if it was me thats enough time to know I should check out rather than go on to watch episode 5, episode 6, episode 7 and episode 8 and decide that I didnt like 75% of those either. I find people who do that just plain weird.

I dont know, maybe people just have way more spare time than me, I just dont have enough time to be watching 8 hours of something and saying that 7 of the 8 hours were absolutely crap. Got better things to do with my time than that. As I've said before once I dont like a show, I stop watching, thats the sensible approach to something you think is crap. :)

Edit : I should add that this potentially doesnt apply to a film you've gone to the cinema to watch, as you've paid to see that film (and allocated that one-off use of time to watching the film) so can see how someone might well sit through the rest of the film in the cinema to watch it.

The thing is, there aren't many responses here suggesting that people are watching four to five hours of it and hating every minute.

It's quite common in threads in this section for people to take things to extremes in an attempt to win the argument.

Most of my posts dissing the show are in jest. It's not that bad, otherwise I would have turned off weeks ago!
