Hi all, Managed to get order and 5090FE today. Those with a FE how long did it take to arrive from order?

Fingers crossed, I cant wait, going from a 4670k with a gtx 970 to a 9800x3d / 5090 is going to be a huge difference for me

I have messaged SN to ask and they have confirmed they fulfil the orders for NVIDIA but they cant tell me anything else as tracking information etc comes from NVidia direct.

I made a slightly less extreme (I think) move from 5800X and 3080FE to what you're getting and the novelty of having games auto set everything to max/ultra etc hasn't worn off at all

After selling my last PC with a 4090 last year, I told myself I was never paying ridiculous prices for graphics cards.

Couldn’t help myself though.

Just waiting for the other parts to arrive. For the first time in years I’ve also decided to try AMD over intel and got a 9800X3D and Apex board coming.

Full list is:

X870e Asus Apex motherboard (had 3 of these on intel platforms and loved them)

9800X3D - I was debating getting a 9950X3D but I only game so decided I’d take the lower power draw

Ram I’ve gone for Corsair at 6000mhz cas 28. I may change this but just wanted something “safe” to begin with.

For nvme I normally go Samsung but I had issues with the 990 pro which put me off so decided to go WD this time round.

SN8100 2tb gen 5 drive for os
SN850X 4tb drive for storage

Had a 1600w power supply last time so decided a Seasonic TX-1300 would be enough.

Lastly case wise I’ve had a Fractal Torrent the last two builds as I’ve been air cooled with Noctua coolers, but decided it was time for a change and went for the Meshify 3 XL. Although reports of cheap build quality are putting me off slightly so I may end up back with a Torrent.

Looking back I kinda wish I had just kept my 14900KF build. I had a good cpu with ridiculously high SP score and things haven’t really moved on performance wise so I’d have been fine just putting 5090 in there.

I was back and forth with getting the 285k but something just put me off last minute.

Edit: received all the parts apart from the damn case! DPD driver only had 1 of 2 doesn’t know where 2 of 2 is…

White, as it features a hardware upgrade over the standard one, which enables rear fan control.

The White Astral is for my Z890 system, and the Black is for the X870E system.

I got extremy lucky and snagged a 5090 FE!

I literally just decided to do a new build the other day, was going to see about getting a 5080 but wasn't quite happy with the price/performance vs the 5070 ti so changed my mind to that instead with the option of upgrading next year if the rumoured 5080 ti/super is launched.

Hopped into the Nvidia website just to see if there was any news about a potential 5080 ti/super and saw a 5090 FE just sitting there making eyes at me LOL

The thrill of buying it was like scoring tickets to Taylor Swift or Doja Cat or BTS ir whoever the kids listen to these days!

Got delivered today, she's a beaut (nice and quick shipping, and cool packaging too) and now I'm just waiting on all my other components to arrive now so I can start the new build.
